Just wanted to pop in here quick and say if you haven't picked up the new Holiday Card Kit by Becky Higgins, what are you waiting for? The holidays are fast approaching and I am looking forward to sitting down with my kit and whipping up some holiday card goodness. :) And ya'll know how much I love my holiday cards! (see this post)
Can you stand another Christmas Scrappy plug...
If you have the inclination or desire, check out
this class offered by my new buddy,
Shimelle. I have participated in her
Journal Your Chritsmas class the past two years and it has been,
without a doubt one of the most rewarding experiences of my holiday season.
And this year with my lack of Christmas spirit I need all the motivation I can get! I am on board for another season of journaling my Christmas. My plan for this coming weekend is to gather my supplies and create at the very least a cover for my journal, at the most, get a basic design concept for my inside pages. :)
If you want to take a peek at my previous holiday journals go
HERE for the 2006 journal and
HERE for the 2007 journal.
In unrelated news, I just noticed tonight that I have
finally been updated to the new Typepad design. (can you believe it
Laura?!!!?) I was like, whoa! What happened to my typead account. New Techie Stuff + Nichol do not mix well. I am a slow learner. LOL
omg nichol ... you have me cracking up over here! lol! i cannot believe you JUST got the new typepad design. i've been farting with that new design for months and months now ... and am still not loving it. guess you know i'm not a big techie person either! lol!
can't wait to see what you come up with for the christmas journal this year. you were seriously the reason i did it last year ... seeing yours the year before had inspired me to do it too. and it's one of my most favorite albums ever! looking forward to it again this year!

Nichol:
Thanks for the reminder about the class. (You turned me onto it last year!) I will get all of my stuff together so I am ready to roll....
Don't you have plans on Friday night? Twilight? I will be hitting it with a friend soon! (You get credit for this obsession too!)
Thanks.

I'm still on the fence about the Card Kit, but I don't send out newsletters so I'm not to sure about it. I just might make my own again this year.
Yep, I'm all set for Shimelle's class. I still have a few pages to finish for last year, hoping to get that done these weekend and over the Thanksgiving weekend.
And this Sunday is the last day for True Blood, going to miss it so much but I'll have the books to read before season 2 comes out.

Nichol
Thanks for sharing all the this infomation. You know I think, I will be journaling our Christmas, from my point of view from the bed. Since this year I will be out of the loop and unable to do the all the things we do as a family. Maybe I can do some homemade things with the children to remember 2008.
