First, I didn't get my blog post up yesterday for What's For Dinner this week. Dang it. However, I wanted to share that I made The Pioneer Woman's Crème Brûlée! It was a smashing success. Delish. My little butane torch melted the ultrafine sugar on top into a nice crunchy topping to the dish. Perfection. So happy.
HERE is the butane torch I got and HERE is the Crème Brûlée recipe.
Next, how about a layout share before I get to this week's video and product picks?
This layout just went up in the Gallery at 2Peas. I shared a sneak of this awhile back as it showcases a FREE digi die cut download from Kerri Bradford. You can get yours HERE.
Two Peas in a Bucket | August 16, 2010
The background is colorblocked with Echo Park A Walk in a Park, Studio Calico & October Afternoon Patterned papers. I added machine stitching for a decorative touch.
I stamped several Studio Calico Coffee Stain stamps randomly on the background using Soft Suede Ink by Stampin' Up. I like the way it instantly adds interest to the background. I printed the journaling on Kraft Cardstock and cut it into strips to adhere to the page.
I stamped the Studio Calico Button Stamps on white cardstock using Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Dusty Durango & Bermuda Bay Stampin' Up inks. Then I used circle punches to punch them out. (The button holes too).
The title was die cut using the free download from Kerri Bradford's blog. I cut it once from an Echo Park patterned paper and once from gray cardstock. I layered the two for a shadow effect. I cut the title at 10" long.
I finished the layout with a couple of october Afternoon Stickers, a Chipboard Monogram and Tim Holtz Mini Clips.

WHAT I'M USING THIS WEEK
I'm doing my product picks a bit different this week.
I have a super busy week with family things (doctor appointments, kids haircuts, Chad's birthday party, big kids back to school and a baby shower hosted at my house...eek!) that will be limiting my crafting time so I thought it would be fun to share my recent 2peas order (that came just today!). These products will all be making it into projects soon and I'm super excited to get some time to play with them. Even though I won't be sharing products that I will be using this week, I will be sharing new projects here on my blog every day this week featuring lots of products I've shown over the last couple of weeks. :)
