My girl is (in her words) "double digits" today.
Lots of celebrating happening.
A special breakfast per her request: biscuits and gravy.
Cupcakes brought to school by little bro & I for her classmates.
A mini-party celebration at her Grandma & Grandpa Magouirk's after school with cousins.
A special supper per her request: smoked ribs, steamed broccoli and crusty french bread with Creme Brulee for dessert. And yes, I put the candles in her Creme Brulee. :) I think it's sort of awesome that my kid loves things other than the traditional cake and isn't afraid to ask for it. ;)
A new Halloween outfit for her American Girl doll.
Had our share of drama, too.
She is a girl after all. Sigh.
Not sure if hormones are kicking in or she just didn't get a good night's sleep last night but she fell apart around bedtime. Lots of tears. :(
I rubbed her back and snuggled until she fell asleep.
I'm sure tomorrow all will be right with the world again. :)
If you have been wondering about my blog absence, I apologize. These few weeks through the end of October into mid-November are ultra busy and I have been barely hanging on these last few days.
New projects starting tomorrow continuing throughout the week and into the start of the Holiday Blog Reader Appreciate Week all next week. :) So ready to be back to regular sharing!
Until tomorrow...have a good one!
