December Daily Day 11: Saturday was crazy busy with my dad and uncle's retirement party. Even though the party was not Christmas related I wanted to include it in my album because it was a big part of our day.
I started out by laying out the stamps I wanted to use on the 5x7 paper.
I used a stamp from Ali Edwards' Favorite Memories Stamps to stamp a border along the top of the page with Stampin' Up Kiwi Kiss ink.
Next I stamped a phrase from Ali's Dad Rocks Stamp Set with SU Soft Suede Ink.
I finished the phrase with another word from the same set using SU Riding Hood Red ink.
I used a new stamp from the December Studio AE stamp set and stamped it with Kiwi Kiss ink on green cardstock for a tone on tone look.
I die cut a border using a design from the Silhouette online store:

I layered the die cut border with the stamped phrase near the bottom of the page.
The journaling:
The finished page.
The right side of the page. Lots of small 2x3 photos. A couple of other sections are patterned paper or stamped patterned papers.
December Daily Day 12: Elf on the Shelf. We started a new family tradition that I wanted to record in our December album.
I started out by cutting the photo large: 6x9. I then cut the large photo into 2x3 sections and placed them in the divided sheet protector.
I replaced one of the photo sections with the patterned paper/stamped sticker piece.
I added printed journaling in the 2x5 sections down the side of the 5x5/2x5 sheet protector.
For the bottom 5x5 section I had previously stamped a journaling stamp and adhered it to the background. Because I didn't really require more journaling for the spread, I added a 2" square photo to the stamped piece instead.
Another look at the completed page.
