Sorry for the long absence...
the icks are going around at our house. Both boys had completely different sickies and now I have caught a nasty sinus infection/cold. Good times. Lots of holiday cheer. ha!
I am actually completely caught up with my December Daily but will be posting the pages in spurts over the next day or so as I get the photos edited and uploaded to the blog.
Day 13:
I had mentioned awhile back that I was completely inspired by Becky Higgins to create my own floral arrangement for the holidays. (You can see Becky's HERE.) I wanted to document my foray into floral design with an entry in my December Daily.
For my journaling page:
I took a cute catalog I got in the mail and cut it up to use as accents throughout my album.
I have really been trying to include as much found type product (tags from things I've purchased, pieces from gift bags, from catalogs, etc.)
I picked this accent to use on my journaling page.
So cute but I wanted to give it a real "finished" look so I used my Big Shot and the Stampin' Up Top Note Die to polish it up a bit.
Ah, much better.
Next, I took a round tag from Little Yellow Bicycle and a tag from a pair of pajamas I recently purchased and tucked them under my die cut.
Added a 7Gypsies sticker for fun. Adds color and interest.
Added a couple of border stickers at the top and printed my journaling on kraft cardstock and adhered it to the bottom of the page with the Tiny Attacher. Easy.
Another look at the completed right side of the spread.
For the left side of the spread featuring my floral project, I printed the photo big (10x5) and cut the photo in half to insert in the 5x5 sections of the sheet protector.
I punched a circle from the top pice and added my stamped date.
Day 14:
Payton spent one afternoon with me in my studio stamping and creating holiday cards and she was so, so, SO excited that I am sharing them here on my blog. Little girl is talented. :)
For the left side of the spread I used the pre-assembled page I made and simply added a couple of candy cane stickers wrapped with baker's twine for an accent.
Added a couple of border stickers at the top of the page to balance it out.
Then hand wrote my journaling.
I am using a combination of printed and hand written journaling in my December Daily. I like to include a bit of both.
A look a the right side of the spread. I included 2x3 photos of Payton with her cards or just her cards. A few stickers on the patterned papers finish of the page.
