Hello stamping friends!
I am so excited to be bringing you the guest designer projects featuring one of my all-time favorite stamping companies, My Favorite Things, over on the Simon Says Stamp Blog today!
Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an interest in exclusively selling rubber stamps. It didn’t take long until we realized we couldn’t stop there. During the past 10 years we celebrate rubber stamping in its full glory by giving access to people around the world to a one stop shop. Rubber stamps still remain the heart of our business and we are celebrating by hosting a STAMPtember™ event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the greatness of rubber stamping. Part of the enticement of rubber stamping is that stamps can be used in creating or complimenting ANYTHING! From stamping dates on bank documents and postage parcels in the early 18th century, rubber stamping has dramatically expanded to include card making, scrapbooking, mixed media and many forms of altering and expressing art.
I couldn't agree more! For me, stamping on my paper crafting projects whether it be a card, scrapbook layout or other paper crafted item, is a go-to technique. I can't say enough about using stamps. And if you are a frequent reader, you know I use my stamps on almost everything I create!
When it comes to cute, fun images to color with my Copics, My Favorite Things always comes through with the most adorable characters. Pair those adorable images with any of the new exclusive Simon Says Stamp dies + stamps and you instantly have a great card to give to someone special!
All 3 of the cards I created for today's post on the Simon Says Stamp Blog will go to my kiddos...
The girly one goes to Payton who was voted to the Middle School's Student Council last Friday (go, Payton!). She is so bummed that the 6th graders aren't allowed to try out for anything or play school sports however when she found out that, if interested, they could sign up for Student Council she was all over that! And the little stinker was the only girl in her "trail" to be voted in! YAY!!!!
The superhero one goes to my little guy, Ethan, who is finding not talking while his teacher is talking and getting along with a classmate a bit of a challenge this school year. However, he is trying really hard and made quite a bit of improvement last week (if you don't count Friday....sigh). This card is just a way of telling him how proud I am of him for continuing to work hard and learn to get along with others and to be quiet!
And the football themed one is for my oldest, Brenden, who as an 8th grader is playing football for basically the first time (he played flag football as a first grader and one hated season of tackle as a 4th grader). It has been one of the best things he's ever done for himself and so good for him both physically and socially. It was a huge step and I am so very proud of him. I'll be giving him this one Thursday morning before school as a way to say, "Good luck on your game today!".

Your cards all turned out so cute! Thanks for the discount code--It was just the push I needed today to order the new alphabet and mini scalloped border I was eyeing by them! Yay! :)
