Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp September 2013 Card Kit Blog Hop!
Fall is slowly starting to fill the air and the kids are getting ready to head back to school. What better way to welcome the changing seasons, than a blog hop featuring the September Simon Says Stamp card kit. With it's fun chalkboard papers from My Mind's Eye, new exclusive Simon Says Stamp banner stencil and stamp set and fun travel themed embellishments, it's sure to get you in a creative mood!
Did you know that you can subscribe to Simon Says Stamp’s monthly card kits for just $19.95 plus S&H every month!? The kits are an incredible value plus the last few kits have sold out and a subscription ensures that you never miss a kit!
For my first card share today, I created a travel-ish themed card showcasing papers, embellishments and greeting stamps from the kit with other stamps from my paper crafting stash, namely the Paper Doll Stamps by Julie Nutting that I am obsessed with! Check out THIS blog post that features another card created with a paper doll stamp.
I created a chalkboard effect with the greeting stamps to match the theme and papers found in this month's kit.
My second card share today showcases another current favorite obsession of mine, single layer cards.
I used the kraft cardstock in the September Kit for my card base and stamped the greeting with Hero Arts Charcoal Ink. Then I stamped the flowers and leaves with Unicorn White Ink, Hero Arts Blossom, Hero Arts Mint Julep and Hero Arts Wet Cement Inks. I added detail to the flower centers using the Sakura Glitter and White Opaque pens.
Simon Says Stamp is giving away a goody bag at every stop on the hop! That's ten chances to win!
Just leave a comment on each of the blog posts as you hop along to be entered in the random drawings. The giveaways will stay open until Thursday August 22nd, 2013 at 6:00pm EST and the winners will be announced on the Simon Says Stamp blog on Friday August 23, 2013.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog on the hop!
The next stop is the amazing...
Happy Hopping!
