Can you believe there are only nine days until Christmas?!!!!
If you're like me, you're fast and furious into those last minute preparations, gift wrapping like a maniac, still needing to get those holiday cards out in the mail (it might be New Year's Cards.....) and making sure you've got everyone on your gift list covered!
Even with the craziness of the season I like to be able to add handmade touches to gifts for our friends and family. All this week I'll be sharing quick (an hour or less) Handmade Holiday ideas for cards, tags and gift wrapping sure to add that handmade touch we all love. Most ideas will include multiples (today I created nine tags in under an hour).... gotta love that!
MONOGRAM GIFT TAGS
Want to create some elegant, classic monogram gift tags quickly? These small gift tags came together in under an hour and were super easy to create "assembly-line" style!
I first die cut the gold foil paper using the small square Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Tag Die and a monogram alphabet die from the MFT Peek-A-Boo Die-namics Collection. If any of the holes in the monogram don't pop right out using a piercing tool to remove them the rest of the way.
Next, I die cut the stitched tag from the MFT Whip Cream Cardstock.
I masked off the sides of the solid tag using post it tape and stamped the words "merry" and "Christmas" from the SSS Presents and Ornaments Stamp Set and the "to" and "from" from the SSS Tag Sayings Stamp Set with Versamark Ink. I heat embossed with fine gold embossing powder.
I adhered the monongram tag and stamped tag together back-to-back and punched a hole in the top of each with the Crop-a-dile. I thread some Lawn Fawn Gold Sparkle twine through each to finish the tags.
These tags would be perfect atop packages, tied to a gift tag or affixed to cello, kraft or vellum bags (like the ones below). Add a die cut snowflake and a gemstone for decoration and your package will look like a million bucks!
*Snowflake dies are linked below in supplies.
