Today I have a card share showcasing a "stained glass" look featuring the Lawn Fawn Flutter By Stamp Set and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The butterfly is embossed with gold embossing powder making each section "hold" in the watercolors. I watered down the same colors and painted around the butterfly to add color to the background.
A butterfly from the Lawn Fawn Flutter By Stamp Set was stamped on watercolor cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder, then colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The individual marker colors are linked below to multiple stores in supplies and also listed in the upper left corner of the screen in the how to video.
Taking the same Zig Markers, I slightly outlined the butterfly and took a wet paintbrush and pulled the color out and away from the butterfly for a soft watercolored background. I set aside the panel to dry while I worked on the rest of the card.
The dimensional frame was die cut from SSS Blue Violet Cardstock, SSS Lavender Cardstock, SSS Audrey Blue Cardstock, and SSS Mint Cardstock using a Large Stitched Rectangle Die and a Small Stitched Rectangle Die. The frames were adhered one on top of another for a dimensional colorful frame. The stamped and watercolored panel was die cut with a die from the Large Stitched Rectangle Die collection and adhered inside the dimensional stacked frame.
