Hello, and welcome to the Holiday II Essentials by Ellen Release Hop! I’ll be showcasing several of the new stamp sets and dies on my post today! You should have arrived here from Karolyn Loncon's blog.
For my first card today I combined the adorable car/tree image form the Tis The Season Stamp Set (and the brand new coordinating die!) with the Essentials by Ellen Home & Hearth Dies, Mama Elephant Snow Capped Mountains Dies, and a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 1 Die for this wonderful winter scene card!
For the background, I die cut the mountain range from watercolor cardstock using the Mama Elephant Snow Capped Mountains die set. I die cut the stitched "snow" from smooth white cardstock. I die cut the trees from watercolor cardstock using the Essentials by Ellen Home & Hearth Dies and the slightly rounded snowy landscape using a die from the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 1 Die.
On a sheet of watercolor cardstock I applied Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink using the Mini Ink Blending Tool. I applied Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to the mountain border and spritzed both with water from a MIni Mister and let them air dry.
I applied Forest Moss Distress Ink and Gathered Twigs Distress ink to the die cut trees.
I stamped the greeting from the Tis The Season Stamp Set on the snowy landscape layer using Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink.
I adhered the mountain border to the background and adhered the snow caps to each of the mountains. I adhered the snow border along the bottom edge and secured the trees along the border. I stamped additional snow to the dark blue sky with the dots from the Holly Jolly Stamp Set.
I stamped the car from the Tis The Season Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in the image with Copic Markers, then die cut the image with the new coordinating Tis The Season dies. I adhered the car to the scene and applied Pico Wedding Dress Ink to the snow caps and to the tips of the trees to finish the card design.
For my second card design, I created a New Year's card with the brand new Advent Stamp Set and coordinating Advent Dies. I love the way the images and stamping pop against the black background.
I die cut a stitched rectangle panel using a Small Stitched Rectangle Die.
I stamped greetings along the bottom edge of the panel from the Advent Stamp Set and Tis The Season Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and embossing with white embossing powder.
I added stamping along the top edge of the card using the cluster of dots from the Essentials By Ellen Bokeh Dots Stamp Set and Delicata Golden Glitz Ink.
I stamped the champagne flutes on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers. I die cut the images with the coordinating Advent Die and added sparkle detail to the liquid with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen. I added Glossy Accents to the stems of the flutes for subtle shine and dimension.
I stamped the bubbles above the champagne flutes with Lawn Fawn Yeti Pigment Ink and added detail to the center of each with the Sakura Stardust Glitter Pen.
I finished the card by adhering the panel to a white card base with foam adhesive.
