Weclome to the Pretty Pink Posh and Altenew Blog Hop!
You should have arrived here from Agnieszka Malyszek's blog.
For my card today I combined the absolutely gorgeous Altenew Vintage Roses Stamp Set with the double stitched border from the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 3 Die and the Sparkling Clear 6mm Sequins, Sparkling Clear 4mm Sequins, and 4mm Gold Metallic Sequins.
On a white side fold card base I traced the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 3 Die with a pencil. I started stamping the florals and leaves from the Altenew Vintage Roses Stamp Set using the ink combinations shown below:
- Red Flowers: My Favorite Things Wild Cherry Hybrid Ink, My Favorite Things Electric Red Hybrid Ink, My Favorite Things Brick Red Hybrid Ink
- Peach Flowers: Simon Says Stamp Burnt Orange Ink, My Favorite Things Persimmon Hybrid Ink, Simon Says Stamp Coral Reef Ink, Simon Says Stamp Apricot Ink
- Yellow Flowers: Simon Says Stamp Sunshine Ink, Simon Says Stamp Duckling Ink, Hero Arts Soft Vanilla Ink, Hero Arts Pumpkin Pie Ink
- Green Leaves: Simon Says Stamp Green Apple Ink, Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf Ink, My Favorite Things Gumdrop Green Hybrid Ink
Once the ink was dry, I erased the pencil lines then I die cut a border from smooth white cardstock using a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 3 Die. I stamped a greeting from the Altenew Sentiments & Quotes Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
I adhered the die cut border to the card with foam adhesive and finished the design with Sparkling Clear 6mm Sequins, Sparkling Clear 4mm Sequins, and Gold Metallic 4mm Sequins.

it's amazing to see how different makers make different things with the same supplies, different inks for the flowers give a completely different and yet equally as stunning effect, the sprinkling of the sequins is just perfect

Who can resist those roses? They're just so beautiful. I also like doing the layered stamps. I have good intentions of making swatch cards to remind myself which of my inks work in combination, but so far I haven't gotten around to it.
