Welcome to Day 2 of the Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop!
The release is SO big this month, that Paulina has spread out the fun for two days! You should have arrived here from Melody Rupple's Blog.
I created a holiday themed shaker card showcasing the new Holiday Pals Stamp Set and coordinating dies and one of the new Scallop Frame Dies. I love shaker cards for the interactive element they add to a design. The new Scallop Frames (exclusive to the Pretty Pink Posh online store) make the perfect frame for shakers!
To create my card I stamped the bunny, trees, bow, and gifts from the Holiday Pals Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored in the images with Copic Markers and die cut the images with the coordinating Holiday Pals Dies. I added detail to the eyes of the bunny with the Sakura Black Glaze Pen and filled in the stamped glasses and nose on the bunny with Glossy Accents. I set the image aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the card design.
For the shaker frame, I adhered Stick It to the back of a sheet of smooth white cardstock and then die cut the cardstock with the smaller of the two Scallop Frame Dies. I die cut a "snowy hill" from smooth white cardstock using a Stitched Borders 1 Die and trimmed a 3x4 rectangle from smooth white cardstock and a transparency.
I applied Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to the solid white rectangle (shaker backer) using a Mini Ink Blending Tool. I adhered the snowy border to the background and attached the stamped, colored and die cut Holiday Pals images along the rounded edge.
I stamped a greeting from the Holiday Pals Stamp Set on the transparency using Staz On Cotton White Ink. I stamped the three snowflake designs on the transparency as well. I peeled the Stick It backing off the Scallop Frame and adhered the transparency behind the die cut frame. I adhered two layers of foam adhesive along all four edges on the back of the frame. I used a powder tool along the inside of the foam adhesive to keep the seed beads from sticking to the frame once the shaker is put together. I filled the frame with Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Marshmallow Seed Beads. I removed the backing paper from the foam adhesive and adhered the shaker backer to the frame.
I adhered the shaker to the card base and finished with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins in 4mm and 6mm and tiny, tiny clear gemstones.
