***NOTE*** Due to several emails and comments I have received regarding these flowers I wanted to address the flower stamp I used. While I colored these flowers to RESEMBLE hydrangeas in color, I am NOT saying they are only hydrangeas. They could be zinnias, dahlias, etc. The great thing about these flowers is I think you can make them into what YOU want them to be. Let your imagination run wild!
The flowers and leaves from the Handwritten Floral Greetings Stamp Set (included in the kit or sold individually) were stamped on the watercolor paper from the kit using the Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I watercolored the flowers with a combination of Blueprint Sketch and Dusty Concord Distress Ink and the leaves with the Crushed Olive and Forest Moss Distress Ink. The watercolor pen from the kit makes this so easy!
Once the ink on the flowers and leaves dried, I fussy cut all the images and set them aside.
I trimmed a strip of Slate Cardstock from the kit into a thin strip and stamped a greeting from the Handwritten Floral Greetings Stamp Set on the strip using the Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I applied a little Shaded Lilac Distress Ink to the center of a side fold white card base using the Mini Ink Blending Tool and a light hand.
I adhered the flowers and die cut greeting to the card as shown. I adhered the stamped and embossed greeting strip slightly under one of the flowers and on top of the rest, right below the die cut greeting word.
I finished the card design with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
