It's time for my weekly video series,It's In The Details, for the Waffle Flower Inspiration Team. Every Friday I will share a new video featuring amazing Waffle Flower Stamps and Dies.
I’m always a fan of adding rainbow elements to cards and the new Purse-naility Stamps and coordinating dies along with the gorgeous Waffle Flower Dye Inks are perfect for this technique! To help ground the elements on my card I made sure that several of the purses hung off the top, bottom, or side of the card. Jewel closures for the purses in pearls, gems, or enamel dots add a touch of bling to each bag.The greeting stands out with the addition of a couple of phrases from he Purse-naility stamp set stamped on the Sentiment Dies die cut from black cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder. Small clusters and dots of color in the same colors as the purses round out the design and add interest to the background. Let's get started:
I started by stamping each of the purses from the Purse-naility stamp set on smooth white cardstock using the gorgeous Waffle Flower Crafts Dye Inks. I used the MISTI stamp positioner tool so I could ink up each of the designs more than once to get the best coverage from each color (see video to see what a difference stamping the image more than one makes!). I love the names of the ink colors, too, so unique and fun! I used My Pleasure with Safe Choice (red bag), Oh Happy Day (orange bag), You Said What? (yellow bag), Chirp Chirp with New Fish In Pond (green bag), Daydreaming (blue bag) and Happy Go Lucky (purple bag). I stamped the outline for each with black ink and then die cut the purses with the coordinating dies.
Each purse was adorned with a gem, pearl, or enamel dot to dress up the bag and give it a bit of bling.
I die cut the greeting strips from black cardstock using the Sentiment Dies. I stamped phrases from the Purse-naility stamp set on two of the strips using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder.
I die cut the A2 sized rectangle from from smooth white cardsotck using a Lacy Layers Die. The purses were adhered along the right side of the card, with some hanging off the top, bottom and side to help "ground" the design. Any excess was trimmed off. The greeting strips were adhered to the card as shown and the word "beautiful" from the Purse-naility stamp set was stamped with My Pleasure Ink as shown.
I finished the design with stamped dots in the same colors as the purses using images from the Wild and Free Stamp Set.
