Hello!
Today I'm sharing a card where I combine stamps from a couple of different older stamp sets to create a card. I love revisiting older stamp sets and I love when companies create multiple stamp sets that work together like the Mama Elephant Cub Cuddles and Bear Hugs stamps. By inking up a pink/orange background and stenciling hearts it gives the card a great love theme perfect for Valentine's Day or anytime you need to send a note of love to friends or family.
I applied Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks to a piece of smooth white cardstock using the Ink Blending Tool. I spritzed the background with water from a Distress Sprayer and then blotted the water dry with a paper towel. I applied the same Distress Inks colors through the Simon Says Stamp Falling Hearts Stencil for a subtle tone-on-tone effect.
I stamped greetings from the Bear Hugs Stamp Set in the upper right corner of the background with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink.
I stamped the bears, birds, and heart balloons from the Cub Cuddles Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers before die cutting with the coordinating Cub Cuddles Dies. I added detail to the eyes and noses of the critters with a black glaze pen. Highlights were added to the balloon with a white opaque pen.
A frame was die cut from smooth white cardstock using the Mama Elephant Park Avenue Frame Die. I backed the frame with foam adhesive.
The background panel was adhered to a white side fold card base and then the backing paper was removed from the foam adhesive and the frame was adhered to the card. I adhered the images along the bottom edge of the frame as shown and added a layer of Glossy Accents to the balloons.
I finished the inside of the card with a stamped greeting from the Cub Cuddles Stamp Set.

Oh my word! What an amazing card. The pink and orange are fantastic together. I just made a card yesterday inspired by the colors of your waffle flower balloon card. I might have to scraplift these colors too! ;)

Too cute! Thanks for the coloring tips on the Bears. It really did make a difference when you colored the larger one.

Happy New Year Nichol! So adorable, I love those colors blended to perfection! The stencil hearts in the same colors is such a neat idea, I've got to try this background out. Thanks for sharing and always inspiring.
