It's time for my weekly video series, It's In The Details, for the Waffle Flower Inspiration Team. Every Friday I will share a new video featuring amazing Waffle Flower Stamps and Dies.
Nothing says that ocean water has to be shades of blue and green! This pinkish orange Distress Inked background is the perfect compliment for a Valentine’s or love-themed greeting card scene featuring the adorable images from Little Mermaids, Snail Mail, and Willy and Friends. Mixing and matching elements from several stamp sets is a great way to get the most from your stash! Color choices play an important role here and I colored the images in shades of pinks and oranges to compliment a love-themed card, complete with a love greeting from the Balloon Messages Stamp Set.
I inked a smooth white cardstock background with Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold Distress Inks and spritzed the background with water from a Distress Sprayer before blotting dry with a paper towel.
I stamped the mermaid, tail, fish, hearts, seaweed, clam shell, and rock images from Little Mermaids, the sign from Snail Mail, and the flower for the monkey mermaid's hair from Willy and Friends on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink. I colored the images in with Copic Markers and die cut them with the coordinating Little Mermaids Dies, Snail Mail Dies, and Willy and Friends Dies..
Small details like a black glaze pen for the eyes, a white glaze pen for detail on the seaweed and flower in the mermaid monkey’s hair, and a Stardust Glitter Pen for the jewel and mermaid tail all add that perfect finishing touch.
I die cut smooth white cardstock using using the Lacy Layers Dies and popped it up with foam adhesive to frame up the scene perfectly. Some sequins and clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh finish off the design.
