Happy Wednesday friends!
I have a couple of projects coming that I need to finish video for (those will be up soon!) and I also have so many new and exciting projects to share but I have to wait just a little bit for most of them. Boo. Today I thought I'd take a few minutes to share the products I'm currently crushing on, what's on my wish list, and what I can't get enough of! I'd love to hear what you guys are loving right now. Sharing our passion for paper crafting is my very favorite part of this incredible hobby. :)
C R U S H I N G O N / W I S H L I S T
- We R Memory Keepers Mint Typewriter: More than anything, this is the top wish on my wish list. I have wanted a typewriter forever. Forever, forever. And this one comes in mint. MINT! It also comes in gorgeous white and classic black for those who aren't crazy mint/aqua fanatics like me. ;)
- Pom Pom Makers: I am a bit late to the party but I'm going to pom pom all the things. Yarn... tulle... chiffon. I've got a wish list a mile long of all the pom poms I want to make. I can't wait to show you the Valentine's projects I'm working on.
- Tim Holtz Eclectic Elements Expedition Tote Kit: Still loving sewing and quilting and anything and everything to do with fabric. Fabric is an addiction similar to my patterned paper addiction from my scrapbooking days. I love taking a piece of fabric and cutting and sewing it to fashion something usable or something beautiful. I can't wait to get this sewed up and shared with you all!
F A V O R I T E S (What I can't get enough of...)
- Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral, & Candied Apple: My current favorite Distress Ink colors for Valentine's projects. I am loving the look of oranges with reds or oranges with pinks for my 2017 Valentine's projects.
- Mommy Lhey Doodled Porcupine Stamp Set: I'm a sucker for cute critters and this darling stamp set is at the top of my to-do list.
- Vinyl Mesh Bags: These bags are great for storing small projects in. I love keeping my in progress felt projects or in progress cards or other projects in these great bags. With the zipper I don't have to worry about supplies falling out.
- Simon Says Stamp Colorful Envelopes: I am addicted to the colorful Simon Says Stamp envelopes. These envelopes come in a wide array of colors and are gorgeous. They make the perfect compliment to all your handmade cards.
- Fun Foam and Simon Says Stamp Hey Love Release Script Greeting Phrases: I love the look of dimensional die cut greetings and they are so super easy with Fun Foam, Stick It and the gorgeous SSS Hey Love release greeting dies.

Hi Nichol,
I just want to say that I appreciate all of your informative videos. You have certainly inspired me with my crafting. I love the items that you are wishing for! I was lucky enough to get the black We R Memory Keepers typewriter at Christmas! I am totally in love with mine. I hope you get a mint one soon.
I need to try those envelopes by SSS and get some mesh bags as well.
Happy New Year and I look forward to more inspiration from you!

I agree with the mint typewriter and so wish I had my college typewriter. I gave my 6 year old granddaughter a Pom Pom maker for Christmas. She became obsessed! I'll be watching for your ideas for using something other than yarn. I'm still loving the winter stamps. Winnie and Walters little winter birds for example.

Nichol, I love your cards, but I was wondering if you were going to start doing scrapbook layouts any time soon? You're my favorite artist and I have been following you since your scrapbook days in Creative Memories magazine. I love your style and how you incorporate stamping in your scrapbooks.

I am excited for that tote bag! I also started making pom poms but would love new ideas and different materials to use them with. Thanks for all your ideas!

Hi Nicole, wishing you a creative 2017. In the past year more then ever I realised that I'm really in to colouring. I use coloured images a lot on my cards. So this year I'm planning on investing in Copic Markers and experimenting more with different brands of coloured pencils (I have a Holbein pastel tone set on the way). But I also would like to use cheaper alternatives: in the Netherlands we have a coloured pencil brand called Bruynzeel that I'm planning to try some things out from (they were the only brand that I could affort when I was a kid, but they have different lines now). Looking forward to your new projects! Heidi

Hi Deb! I may publicly share a few scrapbook pages this year, I haven’t decided yet. Without going into a ton of detail some events occurred in mine and my children’s lives that made me take a hard look at what I was sharing online. Unfortunately a great deal of information about my kids was obtained through my scrapbook layouts. I don’t think it will be an issue going forward but I also know my older teen children don’t really love having tons of layouts about them online as they’ve gotten older and I want to respect their wishes.

Hi Nicole, I would love to see some scrapbook pages too but I certainly understand your concerns. Have you thought about using temporary adhesives and stock photos/sayings to temporarily cover your personal photos and journaling? I don't video tape so maybe that's too difficult to be workable; you're the professional.

Scrapbooking for me is highly personal. I don’t think I would enjoy working with stock photos. Anytime I’ve had to do that in the past for magazine covers, etc. I didn’t really love the results. I think some people are really good at doing that, I’m just not one of them! Sorry.

Happy New Year!
I am looking forward to seeing what wonderful ideas you come up with in 2017. I too fell in love with the Mint typewriter, like you, I had been wanting a typewriter for so long. Should have kept the one from high school lol. So I ordered one as a birthday gift to myself months ago, it took a while for the stores to get them in Australia but it has arrived YAY!! Hope you get one soon, they are worth it just to look pretty,
