Lawn Fawn has such an amazing assortment of boxes, bags, and envelope dies and they make amazing packaging for any occasion. I thought it would be fun to showcase many, many of the packaging options for some quick and easy Valentine's gift giving ideas. Whether you're giving sweet treats, small gifts, or a gift card I've got a packaging idea for you...
VALENTINE'S SCALLOPED TREAT BOX
First up, here's a simple embellished Scalloped Treat Box adorned with die cut pieces from the Fancy Scalloped Circle Stackables, Stitched Heart Envelope Dies, Stitched Circle Stackables, and a Tiny Tag die stamped with Tiny Tag Sayings greetings on the front and back of the heart-shaped tag. Except for the white cardstock, I used all Lawn Fawn Cardstock colors in: Chili Pepper, Narwhal, and Black Licorice. The tag is attached to the treat box with some Sweetheart Lawn Trimmings.
VALENTINE'S CANDY BOX
The Candy Box was die cut from Chili Pepper Cardstock and stamped with a design from the Plan On It Holidays Stamp Set using Lobster Ink. The tone-on-tone look adds a bit of interest without overwhelming the design. A banner was die cut from Black Licorice using a Extra Sentiment Banner Die. A greeting from the same stamp set was stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. A dimensional greeting from the Stitched Heart Envelope Die Collection was die cut from white cardstock adhered to Fun Foam and then adhered above the banner on one side of the candy box. Each side of the box was sealed shut with Sweetheart Lawn Trimmings.
VALENTINE'S PILLOW BOX + GIVE A HOOT
The Give A Hoot owl paired with the Pillow Box can be embellished for almost any season or occasion. This sweet little gray and red owl is perfect for Valentine's Day! Embellishing the owl is super easy with the Stitched Circle Stackables and Scalloped Circle Stackables layered for the eyes. A layer of Glossy Accents over the pupils in the eyes really make them pop. Die cutting the Give A Hoot image from Fake Tan Cardstock and inlay the owl beak with the orange cardstock, finishing with Glossy Accents. A piece of Chili Pepper Cardstock adhered behind the die cut owl shape gives a hint of red through the feathers die cut area.
The owl treat box is finished with some Sweetheart Lawn Trimmings with a Tiny Tag die stamped with Tiny Tag Sayings greetings on the front and back of the heart-shaped tag hangs from the twine.
VALENTINE'S TOTE BAG
This next tote bag features a sweet little tone-on-tone stamped label and more die cut hearts! I just love all the gift bag options available from Lawn Fawn! The Tote Bag was die cut from Narwhal Cardstock.
For the label, I die cut the label shape from Chili Pepper Cardstock using a Stitched Heart Envelope die. I masked off the edge on the die cut shape and then stamped the center with a Gingham Backdrops Stamp and Lobster Ink. After removing the washi tape (used for masking), it leaves the border of the die cut shape free from the stamped design and gives the center of the label a great subtle pattern!
The label was adhered to one side of the totle bag and finished with hearts die cut from smooth white cardstock, Chili Pepper Cardstock, and Storm Cloud Cardstock using a Stitched Heart Die and the heart and arrow from the Stitched Heart Envelope Dies. Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen was added to the darkest heart and then a layer of Glossy Accents was applied over top. The arrow was adhered by sticking it into the Glossy Accents before it dried.
This tote bag was again finished with some Sweetheart Lawn Trimmings with a Tiny Tag die stamped with Tiny Tag Sayings greetings on the front and back of the heart-shaped tag.
VALENTINE'S GOODIE BAG WITH HEART FLOWERS EMBELLISHMENT
This next goodie bag features the original 3-dimensional gift bag die from Lawn Fawn with THIS technique I shared a couple of weeks ago on my blog. The Goodie Bag was die cut from Simon Says Stamp Glimmery White Diamond Cardstock. Hearts were die cut from Chili Pepper Cardstock and Cilantro Cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Hearts Dies. I folded the hearts in half and adhered them to the front of the gift bag in a flower shape, using the green hearts for leaves.
The goodie bag was again finished with some Sweetheart Lawn Trimmings with a Tiny Tag die stamped with Tiny Tag Sayings greetings on the front and back of the heart-shaped tag.
VALENTINE'S MILK CARTON
The Milk Carton was die cut from Simon Says Stamp Glimmery White Diamond Cardstock. A border die cut from Chili Pepper Cardstock using a Scalloped Border Die adorns the bottom of the milk carton and is finished with little white cardstock die cut hearts from the Valentine's Borders Die Collection.
The letters "X" and "O" were die cut from Narwhal Cardstock using Cole's ABC's Dies and adhered to the front of the milk carton. A heart from the Small Stitched Envelope die collection was adhered next to it. Both were finished with a layer of Glossy Accents.
The milk carton was again finished with some Sweetheart Lawn Trimmings with a Tiny Tag die stamped with Tiny Tag Sayings greetings on the front and back of the heart-shaped tag secured to the top with a Doodlebug clothes pin.
VALENTINE'S SMALL STITCHED ENVELOPE + STITCHED HEART ENVELOPE
My final two projects are gift envelopes that when closed look really similar but the red one unfolds to reveal a heart shape and a hidden message!
The gray envelope is a standard gift card envelope perfect for tucking a gift card inside! The evelope was die cut from Narwhal Cardstock using the Small Stitched Envelope die collection. The red envelope was die cut from Chili Pepper Cardstock using the Stitched Heart Envelope Die.
The labels for both envelopes were created like the one from the Tote Bag, where I masked of the edges and stamped a Gingham Backdrops Stamp over the surface. Lobster Ink was used for the red label and Narwhal Ink was used for the white label.
The "xoxo" from the Stitched Heart Envelope die collection were die cut from cardstock adhered to Fun Foam for a dimensional greeting. *For more information on dimensional greeting, check out THIS card.
Greeting from the Love Letters Stamp Set were stamped on die cut Black Licorice banners die cut using a Extra Sentiment Banner Die.
Hearts were die cut from cardstock using Small Stitched Envelope dies and pieced together before being finished with a layer of Glossy Accents.
The back of each envelope features Fancy Scalloped Circle Stackables, Stitched Heart Envelope Dies, Stitched Circle Stackables layered to create pretty seals to finish off the design!
The red Stitched Heart Envelope can be opened up to reveal an additional Valentine's greeting from the Love Letters Stamp Set stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
