The Some Bunny Stamp Set from the March Kit is my new favorite! Not only are these images great for Easter themed cards like the ones I made below but they can be used to create non-Easter themed cards as well! I love that the greetings can be customized by mixing and matching the different phrases and the images.... cuteness overload!
I created a couple of watercolored easter cards using lots of stamps from the Some Bunny Stamp Set and a matching stamped and embossed vellum envelope. Let's get started!
The egg background for each card is the showstopper here. I stamped the eggs and hearts from the Some Bunny Stamp Set on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with Simon Says Stamp White Fine Detail Embossing Powder. I watercolored the eggs with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush filled with water. The Zig markers are water based and blend beautifully with water for a soft watercolored look!
I set aside the backgrounds to dry and die cut a couple of rectangles from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Basic Rectangles Dies. I stamped the bunny and a greeting on one rectangle and the chick and greetings on the other using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with Simon Says Stamp White Fine Detail Embossing Powder. The images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers just like the eggs and a blue wash was applied to the background for the embossed resist of the greetings.
Once the images were completely dry I added detail to the eyes of the bunny and the chick with a black glaze pen.
The image rectangles were adhered to Slate gray cardstock rectangles die cut with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Dies and adhered to the egg backgrounds with foam adhesive. Each panel was adhered to a white top fold A2 card base.
For the matching vellum envelope, I stamped the bunny, hearts, and eggs images from the Some Bunny Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Simon Says Stamp White Fine Detail Embossing Powder.

These cards and images are so adorable. I don't normally create any Easter cards, but with this kit it's really tempting to start a new tradition...
