Mama Elephant November Stampede | Framed Tags Hug It Out + GIVEAWAY
Welcome to the Mama Elephant Design Team blog hop!
Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store!
Today I'm combining several of the new stamps and dies for this love-themed hugs card. The new Framed Tags Hug It Out Dies is an amazing die collection, super versatile, that makes framing up any image or greeting a breeze! I used the frame and larger square to create this framed up design below. The new Lovely Piggies are absolutely adorable and the phrase from the Botanical Thanks Stamp Set is the perfect compliment to the die cut "hugs" greeting from the Hug It Out Dies.
The Hug It Out frames were die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock. I added a bit of post it tape to the back to temporarily hold them together while I added Tattered Rose Distress Ink and then spritzed the ink with water from a Distress Sprayer for the subtle distressing. The heart die was placed in the bottom right corner of the middle layer. The heart doesn't die cut all the way through, giving a peek at what's underneath. I added a bit of Aged Mahogany Ink to my card base so that the darker red color would show under the edges of the partial heart.
The heart trio was stamped on the square die cut using Versafine Ink and colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The square was adhered directly to a top fold card base and the frames were adhered with foam adhesive.
The word "hugs" was die cut from white cardstock adhered to fun foam, inked with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink and adhered to the card as shown.
The sentiment phrase from the Thanks Botanical Stamp Set was stamped on black cardstock with Versamark Ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder and adhered with foam adhesive under the word hugs.
Additional hearts from the Rainbow High Die Collection and Lafayette Die Collection were die cut from cardstock inked with Aged Mahogany Ink and adhered to the design. A layer of Glossy Accents was applied to all the hearts on the card for a glossy, shiny, eye-catching finish!

What a lovely design of a card, and it's still so "one layer". That partially cut heart is so cool - lovely addition of a bit of dimension without a big bulk! Thanks so much for sharing and inspiring!
