Hello friends! I'm thrilled to be guesting over on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog this month! Today I'm sharing a new card and video inspired by the Sketch Challenge. Be sure to check it out HERE. Enter your own take on the sketch for a chance to win up to $50 in brand new MFT products.
A tone-on-tone white pigment ink stenciled and stamped background on MFT Grout Gray cardstock is the perfect subtle scene for the adorable Friends In The Forest deer! This clean and simple card is super easy to create. Let's get started!
A background rectangle was trimmed to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" from Grout Gray Cardstock. A 3 1/2" square was trimmed from another piece of Grout Gray Cardstock. The two pieces were temporarily adhered together and the snowy border was inked along the bottom edge going from the background to the square using the Drifts and Hills Stencil, white pigment ink, and an ink blending tool.
Trees from the Friends In The Forest Stamp Set were stamped along the snowy edge with white pigment ink.
The square panel was flipped over and scored 1/2" on each side to form an embossed "frame". The panel was adhered to the background with foam adhesive.
A greeting from the Friends In The Forest Stamp Set was stamped on Electric Red Cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being trimmed into a thin strip and adhered to the background as shown.
The deer from Friends In The Forest was stamped on smooth white cardstock using a black ink for Copic coloring, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Friends In The Forest Dies. The deer was adhered to the scene as shown.
The design was finished with Autumn Red Nuvo Crystal Drops for the nose and Simply White Nuvo Crystal Drops for "falling snow".
