Hello friends! Today I'm revisiting a favorite Mama Elephant stamp set from 2017, Party Animals. Not only are these adorable bunnies and chicks perfect for birthdays and other celebrations, but with some champagne/sparkling cider and toasting glasses, they are the perfect critters for a New Year's celebration!
To start I inked a Bristol Cardstock background with Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks before spritzing with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotting dry with a paper towel. Two borders die cut from smooth white cardstock using the cloud Landscape Trio Die border add the perfect border along the bottom edge.
Simon Says Stamp Silver Glitter Cardstock was adhered to Fun Foam with Stick It Adhesive before being run through a die cutting machine with the Hooray Script Die. I carefully adhered the die cut greeting to my card being sure not to push it in place yet as I still need to add the critters.
The bunnies, chicks, bottle, glasses, and balloons from the Party Animals stamp set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with black Versafine Ink. The balloons were customized with numbers from the Hollow Letters Stamp Set. The images were colored in with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and blended with Gamsol and a stump pencil.
The images were die cut with the coordinating Party Animals dies and adhered to the scene as shown. The balloons, glasses, and bottle were finished with Nuvo Crystal Glaze for the shiny finish!
A greeting from the Just A Note Stamp Set was stamped on black cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being trimmed into a thin strip and adhered to the card as shown.
Additional greetings from the Just A Note Stamp Set were stamped along the bottom edge of the card using Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks .

I love it Nichol. I do love it when someone thinks outside the box. Why can't these critters be on a cloud? Why does the sky have to be blue? Why can't they be drinking wine? What I particularly love about your designs Nichol is that you do mix and match your dies and stamps but I do agree there are times when creating with one company's products is necessary. I really do want to invest in a set of colour pencils and the Gamsol solution. Do you know the best place to purchase these Nichol? Happy New Year. :O)

Love it, Nichol. A very refreshing color scheme after all of the holiday colors. Thanks for the inspiration and reminding us to refresh our memories on the product we have.

I always love to see what you have made each post....my scrappy resolution for 2018 is to finish what I start...LOL, I like to work on several things at one time so that I keep going during drying times, but then I get distracted by my medical conditions or other things I need to take care of and things get forgotten...unfinished!!! Ugh! Happens way too often...so finish what I start!

So very sweet. I am so glad I am not the only one who saves but uses up the small scraps of paper. My friend makes fun of me until she sees what I do with them. However, I feel like each time I use up my scraps it is like money saved to buy something better to craft with. Happy dance...
