Hello friends! Today I'm back with another card share featuring the April 2018 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit, Beautiful Day. I really wanted to showcase the amazing Butterflies Stencil included in the kit, as well as the Distress Oxide Inks and blending brush. This simple card makes a big impact and is really easy to create! Love that.
You can pick up the April 2018 card kit HERE for just $34.99 + shipping. Or if you’d like to receive this kit and future kits for only $29.99 + shipping per month, you can SUBSCRIBE HERE. When you subscribe you will receive kits delivered to your door automatically.
I trimmed a thin strip from one of the Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow patterned papers from the kit and adhered it along the left side of a top fold card base. I die cut some of the Doll Pink cardstock from the kit with a Scallop Stitches Die and adhered it along the left side as shown.
On a piece of white cardstock from the kit I stenciled the Butterflies Stencil with Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade (included in the kit), Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon (included in the kit), and Wilted Violet. A greeting from the Beautiful Day Stamp Set was stamped on the card front with black ink.
Detail was added to the butterflies with a black jelly roll pen and Glossy Accents.
An additional greeting from the Beautiful Day Stamp Set was stamped inside the card to finish the design.
The Envelope Liner Die was used to create a coordinating liner insert from the Really Rainbow patterned paper for the white envelope included in the kit.

Those butterflies are gorgeous! I love the addition of the glossy accents, it's a nice touch. Thanks for the tips on using the stencil brush, too - I can't wait to try one of them.
