Welcome to the Heffy Doodle First Birthday Blog Hop!
Today I'm super excited to share a couple of stenciled set back die cut panel scene cards with you with some of my favorite new Heffy Doodle products! I'm using the new Oceans of Love Stamp Set and coordinating dies, Wingman Stamp Set and coordinating dies, Bubble Waves Stencil, and Unbeleafable Stencil for my cards today.
For both card backgrounds I started by stenciling the designs on Bristol Smooth Cardstock. For the underwater ocean scene I stenciled the Bubble Wave with Blueprint Sketch, Shaded Lilac, and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Inks. I gently inked over the stenciled design with the same colors of ink to "fill in" all the white areas and then spritzed the background with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted it dry.
For the tropical leaves background I first added Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink to the center of the background panel with a light hand, spritzed it with water from a Distress Sprayer and let it dry. I stenciled the Unbeleafable Stencil over the background with Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Inks.
A mat was trimmed slightly larger than each stenciled background from a coordinating cardstock. Dies from the Oceans of Love Dies and Wingman Dies were used to die cut a "frame" or opening in each stenciled and cardstock mat background. Using the opening as a guide, images from the Oceans of Love and Wingman stamp sets were stamped on a piece of smooth white cardstock placed behind the layers.
The images were colored in with Copic Markers. A few additional images for each card were stamped on a separate piece of cardstock, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies before being adhered to each scene as shown.
Greetings from both the Oceans of Love and Wingman stamp sets were stamped on the same colors of cardstock the stenciled panels were matted on using embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The sentiments were trimmed into thin strips and adhered to the cards with foam adhesive strips.
Each card was finished with a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops or Glossy Accents and the bird's beak was finished with Glossy Accents and the Narwhal's horn was finished with White Blizzard Nuvo Crystal Drops.

These are fabulous cards. I love the time you spend on the backgrounds (mats included!) and then the inset diecutting. Also, I will never be over that narwhal; I have to get this set to make a card for my sister. You always put your all into every card, which I admire you for. Thanks for sharing these great ideas with us and for helping celebrate HD's first birthday!
