Welcome to the September Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week!
Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the Winter Skies stamp set and coordinating dies, Portrait Snowfall Backdrop, and Landscape Snowfall Backdrop. The style of the Winter Skies Stamp Set is similar to the previously released Upon A Star Set with the back of critters staring up into a sky of constellations. These winter images are perfect for creating snowy scenes and critters staring out into the falling snow or watching Santa on his sleigh! This scene card layers the new Portrait Snowfall Backdrop with last year's Portrait Stitched Hillside Backdrop to build the background scene. I love being able to mix and match from my Lawn Fawn stash for fun scene cards!
The Portrait Snowfall Backdrop was die cut from smooth white cardstock and inked with Faded Jeans and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks. The panel was adhered to a white top fold card base and the white of the card base shows through the die cut falling snow.
A Portrait Stitched Hillside Backdrop was die cut from smooth white cardstock and adhered over the top of the falling snow background.
Images from the Winter Skies stamp set and coordinating dies set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, die cut with the coordinating dies, and adhered to the scene as shown.
Sentiments from the Winter Skies stamp set and coordinating dies were stamped on Chili Pepper Cardstock using clear embossing ink and heat set with white embossing powder before being trimmed into thin strips and adhered to the sky with foam adhesive as shown.
Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were applied to the snowflakes, stars, and falling snow. Nuvo Crystal Drops in Gloss White were applied to the tops of the trees to look like snow.
