Welcome to the Spellbinders Glimmer Foil System Blog Hop!
Today I'm sharing a couple of Christmas-themed holiday cards featuring foiling! The new Spellbinders Glimmer Foil System makes foiling all the things so easy. This new system is meant to work with your Spellbinders Platinum or Platinum 6 as well as many other die cutting machines! The Warm Winter Wishes Glimmer Plate snowman card is mostly foiling with a bit of additional die cutting and embellishing for a very clean and simple design. The second card features a foiled and die cut Ho Ho Ho Glimmer Plate sentiment set against a buffalo check stamped background and adorned with the die cut reindeer from the November Small Die of the Month Club Kit! I hope these examples show how easy this new system is to use whether you're creating clean and simple or you want to combine with other elements!

Today I'm using the Ho Ho Ho Glimmer Plate and Warm Winter Wishes Glimmer Plate for these holiday-themed cards.
For the Ho Ho Ho card I stamped Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper Cardstock with the Simon Says Stamp Gingham Background stamp and black dye ink. I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered it to a white top fold card base.
The Ho Ho Ho Glimmer Plate was run through the Glimmer Foil System with Red Glimmer Foil on white cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die before being adhered to the buffalo check background with foam adhesive.
The reindeer from the November Small Club Kit of the Month was die cut from Lawn Fawn Vanilla Malt, Paper Bag, Ground Coffee, Ballet Slippers, Chili Pepper, and Holiday Sparkle cardstocks, assembled, and adhered next to the foiled Ho Ho Ho.
A sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas Stamp Set was stamped on smooth white cardstock with black ink, trimmed into a thin strip and adhered to the bottom of the card with foam adhesive as shown.
The Warm Winter Wishes Glimmer Plate was run through with Silver Glimmer Foil on Simon Says Stamp Soft Navy Cardstock. The panel was trimmed into a rectangle with the Nestabilities Fancy Edged Rectangles Die. The die was cut again and small strips were adhered to the top and bottom of the card front to fill the space.
Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard and Gloss White were applied to the snowflakes and around the design for simple embellishment.
A greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas Stamp Set was stamped with Simon Says Stamp Soft Navy Ink on smooth white cardstock, trimmed into a thin strip, and adhered to the design with foam adhesive.

I love the red gingham Ho-Ho-Ho reindeer card! The system is a little too rich for my budget, but it's an intriguing machine & process that looks easy enough to do. Thanks for the info.

The foil machine is so neat. I would love to get one. Your cards are just beautiful, the foil really makes them look like a card you'd buy at the store!

Nichol, I love your beautiful cards. The Ho Ho Ho card on the buffalo plaid was my favorite but they are both exceptional. Thank you for the inspiration.

Looks like a fun machine to help create lovely cards. Love both of your seasonal cards. Love all the details and color combinations. The inlaid die pieces for the HoHoHo card are great, and so is the addition of partial dies added to the top and bottom of the snowman card!
