This is just a fantastic set of dies that work for so many occasions and holidays, not just Valentine's Day or love. I did create one love-themed card but the other card is for a best friend. I hope these examples jump start your creativity with this amazing set of dies.
Both of my cards feature the hearts from the January 2019 Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Club Kit Dies used with the vines and flowers. Both feature a stamped (or stamped and embossed) tone-on-tone background, and both feature a red and white color combination. That's where the similarity ends, though. I wanted to show the versatility of the Large Die of the Month and also how awesome this set of dies is!
The background of the Cherish card was created by stamping the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripe Background on smooth white cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossing with Hero Arts Sparkle embossing powder. The sparkle embossing powder provides a bit of sparkly interest to the background.
The heart shape die was die cut from the 4" x 5 1/4" background. The heart was adhered directly to the white top fold card base. The rest of the panel was popped up with foam adhesive.
The hearts from the January 2019 Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Club Kit Dies were die cut from Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper cardstock to create a frame. Vines from the die set were also die cut from the red cardstock and adhered to the back of the frame to make a beautiful decorated vine heart. The frame was adhered to the top panel as shown.
The "Cherish" greeting die from the January 2019 Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Club Kit Dies was die cut from white glitter cardstock adhered to Fun Foam with Stick It Adhesive. The greeting was adhered over the vine heart.
Flowers from the die set was die cut from smooth white cardstock using both flower sizes and adhered to the heart and finished with Honey Bee Stamps Moonlight rhinestones.
A sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Stained Glass Love Stamp Set was stamped on smooth white cardstock with Lawn Fawn Lobster Ink, trimmed into a thin strip and adhered to the card to finish the design.
For my second card share today I stamped a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper Cardstock with Chili Pepper Ink and the Simon Says Stamp Damask Background. I absolutely love this background and how elegant it is! I want to make this background in all the colors!
The heart shape die was die cut from the 4" x 5 1/4" background. The heart was adhered directly to the white top fold card base. Greetings from the Simon Says Stamp Bestie and Tiny Words stamp sets were stamped on the frame panel with clear embossing powder and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The panel was popped up with foam adhesive.
The hearts from the January 2019 Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Club Kit Dies were die cut from smooth white cardstock to create a frame and adhered to the top panel as shown.
Paper doll dies from the January 2019 Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club Kit Dies were die cut from smooth white cardstock (face and arms) and colored with Copic Markers, patterned papers (clothing), cardstock (hair, cheeks, balloon, and hair). The hair was also shaded with Copic Markers. The doll was assembled and adhered to the card with foam adhesive. The heart balloon die was stamped with a sentiment from the Bestie Stamp Set with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The arms were wrapped around the balloon and the entire thing was adhered to the doll.
Flowers and vines were die cut from patterned papers, vellum, and white glitter cardstock before being adhered to the heart frame. The center of the flowers were finished with Honey Bee Stamps Moonlight Rhinestones and Be Mine Candy Hearts were used to finish the card.
