Hello friends! Today I'm thrilled to share this die cuts beach house scene card featuring some of my favorite newer Lawn Fawn Dies. I'm a huge fan of all die cut cards and this one is perfect for summer! I love using the Scalloped Treat Box Add Ons for cards in addition to using them for 3D gift boxes. Let's get started!

The background of the card was created from a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Lawn Fawn Mermaid Cardstock inked with Fish Tank Ink using a blending brush. Stitched Simple Wavy Borders were die cut from Blue Jay and Peacock cardstock and adhered along the bottom edge of the sky background. Clouds were die cut from smooth white cardstock using the Simple Puffy Clouds Dies.
The Tropicial Backdrop was die cut from smooth white cardstock and from Paper Bag Cardstock. The bottom of the Paper Bag piece (the sand) was trimmed away and adhered over the white frame. The frame was glued in place over the sky/waves.
The Scalloped Treat Box Beach House Add Ons were die cut from the following Lawn Fawn Cardstocks:
- Palm trees: Noble Fir, Chocolate Bar
- Seagull: Narwhal, (also used smooth white cardstock)
- House: Blue Jay, Peacock, Narwhal, Sunflower, Woodgrain (white)
- Sand: Paper Bag
- Life preserver: Chili Pepper, (also used smooth white cardstock)
- Grass: Cilantro
- Anchor: Sunflower
The die cuts were shaded with Polychromos to give the scene depth and dimension.
Polychromos used to shade the die cuts:
Tree Trunk: Walnut Brown, Dark Sepia
Palm Tree: Hooker's Green
Sand Piles, Tree Trunk: Walnut Brown, Raw Umber
House Roof/Awning: Indanthrene Blue, Cobalt Green, Cobalt Turquoise
Door, Window Frame: Dark Sepia, Warm Grey IV
Grass: Hooker's Green, Earth Green Yellowish
Seagull: Dark Sepia, Warm Grey IV, Dark Cadmium Orange
Coconuts: Walnut Brown, Raw Umber, White
Once shaded, the elements were adhered to the card as shown.
A banner was die cut from Chili Pepper cardstock and stamped with sentiments from the Smooth Sailing Stamp Set using clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The banner was assembled and adhered to the roof of the house.
Glossy Accents was applied to the window, anchor, and seagull's beak. White pen detailing was added to the waves, sand, and seagull.
