As always, one of my favorite things about the monthly kit is all the awesome pre-made die cuts you get. Many of my cards today feature lots and lots of the die cuts. I've also included other Card Club Kit Extras, like the Shellebrate Stamp Set, Shellebrate Foam Glitter Sentiment Stickers, Shellebrate Foam Stickers, and Shellebrate Paper Pad.
For this underwater scene card I created a patterned paper "base" layer with a sheet of the Shellebrate Paper Pad patterned paper. Seaweed, coral, fish, and other critters Shellebrate Die Cuts were adhered around the design. A Shellebrate Die Cut sentiment was added with foam adhesive and Shellebrate Foam Glitter Sentiment Stickers were used to finish the design.
This next card features probably my favorite patterned paper from the Shellebrate Paper Pad. I loved it so much that I used both sheets for my card shares today!
Starfish, hashtag words, a turtle, bubbles, and "splashes" Shellebrate Die Cuts were adhered to the design as shown. This card came together really quickly but very effectively, I think. I love how the hashtag words divide each section and how the starfish and turtle each have their own colorblock "area". The bubbles and splashes give a bit of whimsy to the design. Glossy Accents was used on the bubbles and water splashes.
The scene building Shellebrate Paper is perfect for instantly creating underwater scenes. Shellebrate Die Cuts were adhered to the design to finish the scene building and sentiments from the Shellebrate Stamp Set were stamped and embossed over the background in white to compliment the design. Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were added to the mermaid tail and other areas while Glossy Accents was applied to the large die cut bubbles.
A Shellebrate Paper was trimmed and adhered down the center of a card base and framed up with thin silver foil cardstock strips. Shellebrate Die Cuts and Shellebrate Foam Glitter Sentiment Stickers were adhered to the design and Glossy Accents was used on the "splash" to complete the card.
I used my favorite Shellebrate Paper for the background of my next card again. Shellebrate Die Cuts and Shellebrate Foam Glitter Sentiment Stickers were again adhered to the design and Glossy Accents was used on the "splash" to complete the card.
Another Shellebrate Paper was trimmed and adhered to the card base and framed up with thin silver foil cardstock strips. Shellebrate Die Cuts were grouped together and adhered to the design and Glossy Accents was applied to the "glass" part of the sunglasses.
Two Shellebrate Pattered Papers were color blocked on this background with some of the mint cardstock from the kit. The flamingo and sentiment Shellebrate Die Cuts were adhered as shown and the card was finished with a scattering of Shellebrate Foam Glitter Sentiment Stickers.
This scene was created with a Shellebrate Pattered Paper, Shellebrate Die Cuts, Shellebrate Foam Glitter Sentiment Stickers, and Shellebrate Foam Stickers.
The exclusive kit dies and cardstock from the July Kit were used to create and build the underwater scene. Sentiments from the Shellebrate Stamp Set were stamped on the background with Simon Says Stamp Blue Jay Ink. Lucky Clover and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks were applied to the seaweed with ink blending tools. Nuvo Crystal Drops were applied to the fishtail and Glossy Accents was applied to the bubbles.
A strip of Shellebrate Pattered Paper was applied along the bottom edge of the card base. A thin strip of silver foil cardstock was applied along the edge of the patterned paper. The exclusive kit die mermaid tails were die cut from kit cardstock, assembled and adhered along the edge of the patterned paper. Sentiments from the Shellebrate Stamp Set were stamped along the edge with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
