I used Pixie Spray on the back of the Triangle Blast Stencil, let it dry for about a minute and then applied it over a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of smooth white cardstock. Hero Hues Reactive Inks in Taffy, Fruit Punch, Creamsicle, Lemon Drop, Key Lime Fizz, Green Apple, Pool Party, Splash, Blue Hawaii, Thistle, Grape Slush, and Berry Smoothie were applied through the stencil using the awesome tiny, tiny Detail Blending Tools. (In the video tutorial I also show how you can use regular ink blending tools to apply the inks).
I removed the stencil and trimmed the background to 4" x 5 1/4".
The Today Will Be Awesome Dies were die cut from Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Cardstock (background) and smooth white cardstock (text block). The white text was removed and set aside. The white text block was adhered to the black rectangle.
The text die was die cut from Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink, Hero Hues Cherry Cardstock, Hero Hues Papaya Cardstock, Gina K Dandelion Cardstock, Hero Hues Kiwi Cardstock, Hero Hues Meadow Cardstock, Hero Hues Paradise Cardstock, Simon Says Stamp Island Blue Cardstock, Lawn Fawn Blue Jay Cardstock, and Hero Hues Amethyst Cardstock. The letters were inlaid into the design using the Quickie Glue (this glue is fantastic for gluing tiny, tiny pieces!
A sentiment from the Greetings Mix 1 Stamp Set was stamped below the die cut phrase using black dye ink to complete the card.
