Hello friends! Shading die cuts with markers or other coloring mediums is a great way to add depth and dimension to your cards. This sweet scene card features the Honey Bee Stamps Cottage Window Dies, Bunch of Bouquets Dies, and Pinky Paper Piecing Die for a big impact on the front of the card and stamped sentiments inside finish the design. A woodgrain patterned paper from The Bee's Knees Patterned Paper pack was trimmed to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and adhered to the front of a white top fold card base.
Hero Hues Arctic Cardstock was trimmed to fit behind the window frame and adhered to the center of the window.
Pinky was die cut from Hero Hues Peony, Lawn Fawn Pencil Eraser, and Lawn Fawn Black Licorice cardstock and adhered to the "house". Pinky was shaded with R01 and R02 Copic Markers. Details were added to the eyes with a white pen and a fine detail black pen.
The window and trim were die cut from Lawn Fawn Fog Cardstock and adhered to the design as shown. Four layers of trim were layered one on top of another and placed at the top of the frame. The frame was shaded with C00 and C2 Copic Markers.
The window box was die cut from Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Neutrals Cardstock and adhered to the bottom of the window with foam adhesive. The window box was shaded with E55.
Bees from the Birds and the Bees Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock and colored in with YR23, C3, and BV0000 markers.
Sentiments from the Ham It Up Stamp Set were stamped inside the card to finish the design.
