Welcome to the My Monthly Hero September 2019 Release & Blog Hop!
A note from Hero: And finally, as we launch this kit, our hearts are heavy with the news out of the Bahamas, and our thoughts are with the East Coast of the United States as we all hope and pray the hurricane stays out to sea. For each September kit sold, $1 will be donated to help those impacted by the devastation and displacement caused by Hurricane Dorian.

Today I'm sharing to Halloween themed cards with you featuring the September 2019 Main Kit, Pure Magic Stamp Set, I See Crafting Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies, Spider Web Window Fancy Die, and Curiosities Silhouette Fancy Dies! Be sure to visit the Hero Arts Blog HERE for how I created an Autumn Blessings interactive cabinet card with the Main Kit only!
My first card today features combining the frame image, Peek-a-Boo die Drawers Fancy Die, phrases, and images from the September 2019 Main Kit with the potions bottles, images, and greetings from the Pure Magic Stamp Set. These work together perfectly to create a spooky and magical apothecary cabinet!
The frame was stamped on smooth white cardstock with Hero Arts Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The frame was die cut with the Pee-a-Boo Drawers Fancy Die. Wilted Violet and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks were applied over the stamped and embossed image for embossed resist. The frame was spritzed with White Iridescent Shimmer for a shimmery oxidized look!
The images were colored in with Copic Markers as shown.
The frame was adhered over the images with foam adhesive to finish the card.
For my second card share today I die cut the Spider Web Window Fancy Die from smooth white cardstock and inked the panel with Wilted Violet and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks. The panel was spritzed with White Iridescent Shimmer for a shimmery oxidized look. The frame was layered over one of the specialty papers from the September 2019 Main Kit.
Images from the I See Crafting Stamp Set were stamped with Intense Black Ink and colored in with Copic Markers before being die cut with the Coordinating Dies. A phrase from the I See Crafting Stamp Set was stamped on the crystal ball with Hero Arts Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The images were adhered to the card with foam adhesive. The tips of the candles were finished with Crystal Lacquer.
The frame image from the Main Kit was stamped on smooth white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. I then used the coordinating die to die cut the peek-a-boo windows.
Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso Distress Inks were applied over the entire panel, keeping the middle of the design slightly lighter than the edges. Copic Markers in the following colors were used to color in the labels, handles, and frame of the design right over the Distress Inking. Frame: E47, Handles/Label Frame: W7, W9, Inside of Labels: R37, R39
Using the die as a stencil/guide, I stamped images and sentiments from the My Monthly Hero Main Kit inside each of the openings. The pumpkin was stamped with Just Rust Ink and shaded with YR27 and E47 Copic Markers. The heart was stamped with Red Royal Ink and shaded with R37 and R39 Copic Markers. The pear was stamped with Moss Ink and shaded with YG95, YG97, and E47 Copic Markers. The rest of the images were colored with the following Copic Markers: BG0000, BG01, YR14, YR24, YR27, R37, R39, YG95, YG97, E55, E47, W7, W9
The frame panel was adhered over the images with foam adhesive to make opening the flaps a bit easier.
