Welcome to the Lawn Fawn + Hero Arts Blog Hop!
Lawn Fawn has joined forces with Hero Arts to release this adorable Big Thanks Stamp Set and coordinating dies. A Distress Oxide inked background creates the perfect background setting for this sweet scene. Stacked sentiments both above and below the images balance out the design.

Watch the creation of this big thanks scene card from start to finish below or click HERE to watch in HD:
To create the background I created a circle mask from masking paper and a Lawn Fawn Circle Die, I masked off the bottom landscape with post it tape. I inked the circle with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink. Next I removed the mask and took the circle and covered up the sun I just inked. I added Fossilized Amber, Mermaid Lagoon, and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Inks to the background using blender brushes. I removed the circle mask and pulled some of the ink into the sun for a more natural look.
I moved the landscape mask and inked the ground with Fossilized Amber and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Inks. I set the background aside to completely air dry while I colored in the critters. You can speed up dry time with a heat tool if you're on a time crunch!
The images from the Big Thanks Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Inkon3 Fadeout No Line Coloring Ink and die cut with the coordinating dies.
The following Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker color combinations were used:
- Rhino (left): Dark Gray, Gray Brown, Gray Tint, Pink Haze, Beige, Light Beige
- Rhine (right): Gray Brown, Gray Tint, Pink Haze, Beige, Light Beige
- Birds: Light Blue, Blender, Bright Yellow, Pink Haze
- Heart: Carmine Red, Light Carmine
- Grass: Light Green, Yellow Green
- Rocks: Mid Brown, Beige
- Grass: Mid Brown, Dark Brown
Sentiments from the Big Thanks Stamp Set were stamped in a stack in the sky with one final phrase in the landscape for a unique look (and lots of greetings!) using clear embossing & watermark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The Blue Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker was used to add color to the outline letters.
The images were adhered with a combination of foam adhesive and Lawn Fawn Glue Tube to complete the design.

Ive been thinking about either investing in Zig markers or copics. I love that they are two different tools used by crafters. I guess I just have to find what works well for me and my crafting journey.
