Welcome to the next collaboration for Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember, Real Flowers Vintage by Hero Arts!
Throughout STAMPtember we will be celebrating every day posting exclusive collaborations, contests, prizes, special promotions, announcements, and more surprises! Simon’s blog will announce what we have planned every day.
Today I'm sharing this markers direct to stamp technique using the gorgeous flowers from the exclusive limited edition Real Flowers Vintage Stamp Set! This is the perfect stamp set for this fun technique. I am using Tombow Dual Brush Markers but Distress Markers or similar markers will work as well.

The background for my card was created by trimming Hero Hues Arctic Cardstock to 4" x 5 1/2". Tombow Dual Brush Markers from the Brights and Primary collections were used to color in the Real Flowers Vintage image and stamp them on the colored cardstock. I really love the colored cardstock as opposed to white for a completely different look. I would recommend going with a lighter cardstock color for best results.
I stamped the images once using the MISTI and then stamped again after spritzing with water from a Mini Mister. The even spray of mist gives a lovely "watercolored" effect to the stamped images.
Once the background was inked I stamped the "Thank You" sentiment from the Real Flowers Vintage Stamp Set! using the Hero Arts Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I stamped the phrase again with the Embossing & Watermark Ink for a subtle "shadow" effect.
Hero Arts Reactive Ink in Splash was applied around the edges of the panel with a blending brush.
A sentiment from the Thank You Messages Stamp Set was stamped on Hero Hues Lapis Cardstock with the Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being trimmed into a thin strip and adhered to the card with foam adhesive.
The panel was adhered to a white side fold card base and finished with a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew.

Gorgeous card Nichol, I love how you "coloured" the stamp set this time. Great idea to use a mini mister. Thank you so much for showing and have a wonderful day.

Your card looks beautiful! I love how you added the color; I'll have to try this technique with some of the markers I have. :)
