Waffle Flower introduces a new illustrator Cassie Loizeaux this month with Flower Girl (stamp, die, combo) made from the popular flower dress girl; Bear Hugs (stamp, die, combo) features the most popular print from Big Bear and Bird; your favorite mice from Liz Mytinger are back as Little Artists (stamp, die, combo); the beautiful florals by Karla Jodoin in Poppy Hawthorn (stamp, die, combo); and the perfect sentiment set for retirement, Happy Retirement (stamp, die, combo). Fish & Chips stamp set is a fun 2x3 set from illustrator Kamo.
Top them off with our Nesting Circles Die, Nesting Squares Die or Nesting Ovals Die. Like our popular A2 Layers Die, there are 17 dies in each of these nesting die sets including, as our customers put it, “all-the-sizes-I-need”.
Also by popular request, we have our favorite stamp cleaner bottled with a dauber top and named it Tender Loving Cleaner for precise and messy-free applications.

Today I'm super excited to share this new card featuring this incredible new Big Bear and Bird Bear Hugs image. I'm such a fan of all the Big Bear and Bird images and couldn't wait to color up this sweet scene.
The Bear Hugs image was stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Inkon3 Fadeout No Line Coloring Ink and colored in with the following Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers:
Cat: 095 Dark Gray, 901 Gray Tint, 201 Pink Haze, 999 Blender
Bear: 065 Mid Brown, 064 Oatmeal, 999 Blender, 201 Pink Haze
Fox: 060 Brown, 061 Light Brown, 071 Flesh Colour, 999 Blender, 065 Mid Brown
Bunny: 073 Beige, 074 Light Beige, 999 Blender, 201 Pink Haze
Bird: 092 Blue Gray, 302 Haze Blue, 061 Light Brown, 201 Pink Haze
Pig: 222 Pink Flamingo, 220 Tea Rose, 999 Blender
Detail was added to the eyes with a fine tip black pen and the image was die cut with the coordinating Bear Hugs Die.
Stormy Sky and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks were applied to a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of smooth white cardstock and then I spritzed the background with water from a Distress Sprayer.
Once dry I used the Bear Hugs image and a Ticket Frames Die to position a greeting from the stamp set to curve around the bottom edge of the image. I inked the sentiment up with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The background was die cut with the largest Ticket Frames Die. I kept all the pieces from the panel. I wanted to create a subtle dimensional frame to frame up the image.
I die cut the Ticket Frames Die a couple more times and then adhered the outer frame to a white top fold card base. I next added a white frame and finally the inside of the die cut frame. I stacked the remaining white die cut frame and finished with the inked frame.
The Bear Hugs image was adhered to the center of the frame above the stamped and embossed sentiment with foam adhesive and I added some heart embellishments to finish the card.
