Hello friends! This one layer Woodland Whimsy scene card features Fog Cardstock, Woodland Whimsy masked and stamped images, and the Gina K Masking Paper from the November Kit. Additional sentiments and snowflakes from the Holiday Greetings Mix 1 Stamp Set were stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. White paint splattered over the background adds to the "snowy" feel of the scene.

A Drifting Stitches border die was die cut from the Gina K Masking Paper and adhered along the bottom edge of the design. The deer and banner from the Woodland Whimsy Stamp Set were stamped on the background with clear embossing ink as shown. Masks were created for the images and trees and a heart were stamped in the background to finish the scene. The masks were removed but saved to use again after the coloring is finished.
Polychromos in the following colors were used to color int he images:
Snow: white, warm grey II
Deer: white, burnt umber, brown ochre, ivory, light flesh
Trees: white, van-dyck brown, bister, brown ochre
Heart: white, middle cadmium red, deep red
Banner: white, prussian blue, bluish turquoise, light phthalo blue
The masks were put back in place and Picket Fence Distress Paint were splattered over the background and allowed to air dry completely.
Once dry, the masks were removed and a sentiment from the Woodland Whimsy Stamp Set was stamped and embossed in white on the banner and sentiments from the Holiday Greetings Mix 1 Stamp Set were stamped and embossed along the snow border and snowflakes were stamped and embossed on the background.
Crystal Lacquer was applied to the heart and a white pen was used to add detail to the dear and dear to finish the card.
