Happy Monday friends! I am thrilled to popping in here with this set of alcohol lift ink snowflakes cards featuring the Simon Says Stamp January 2020 Card Kit, Snowflake Builder! This kit comes with amazing products to create all kinds of gorgeous snowflake/winter themed card designs. I'm using the Mandala Die, Snowflake Builder Stamp Set, Stream Alcohol Ink, Silver Glitter Cardstock, Sea Glass Cardstock, Metallic Sea Glass A2 Envelope, and Metallic Silver A2 Envelope from the kit for my card shares today!

Watch the creation of these alcohol lift ink snowflakes cards from start to finish below or click HERE to watch in HD:
The backgrounds for both card were created with only two alcohol inks: Stream Alcohol Ink and Jacquard Pinata Brass Alcohol Ink. Stream Alcohol Ink was applied to the Yupo White Paper and moved around with an Airbrush Tool. The Jacquard Pinata Brass Alcohol Ink was dropped into the ink and background with a Pipette. I purposely left some white areas around the edges of the panel.
Alcohol Link Ink and the Snowflake Builder Stamp Set were used on each background to "life" the ink from the backgrounds. The ink "lifts" from the regular alcohol ink rather easily. The metallic ink doesn't work as well but I was going for a more distressed background so that worked for my purposes on these cards. I recommend using a stamp positioner tool like the MISTI for perfect placement. This also helps in case you need to stamp more than once with the alcohol ink. I hold the lid of the MISTI in place for 30 seconds or so before lifting. I then dab at the stamped images gently to remove the excess Alcohol Lift Ink. Once the excess is removed I buff away the remaining ink to reveal the gorgeous "ghosted" images!
The backgrounds were trimmed down to 4" x 5 1/4".
Greetings from the Snowflake Builder Stamp Set were stamped on Sea Glass Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. The greetings were die cut with a Nested Banners Die and adhered to each card base with foam adhesive as shown.
Pretty Pink Posh Peal White Jewels were adhered to the die cut snowflake centers as well as some of the stamped designs for an extra touch of sparkle.
