Hello friends! Today I'm sharing two one layer watercolored cards featuring components from the Simon Says Stamp April 2020 Card Kit, Follow the Rainbows. For the rainbow and clouds panel I used one of the four custom Suzy's Watercolor Cards included in the kit and simply painted the panel with Hero Arts Liquid Watercolors and embellished with Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard before adhering the panel to a white top fold card base. For the other card, I created my own one layer panel with the Follow the Rainbows Stamp Set also included in the kit!

One layer cards are a breeze to mail since they are relatively flat! I love finding ways to embellish one layer cards for that added bit of fun! Touches of iridescent glitter with the Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were the perfect touch for these encouragement and thinking of you cards.

Today I'm sharing what I like to call, Storybook Scene Cards. I adore Lawn Fawn and with the vast collection of dies they now offer you can really mix and match products to create the most darling scenes. I am pairing the brand new Portrait Meadow Backdrop and Landscape Meadow Backdrop with previously released dies to create these all die cut scenes! The Simon Says Stamp You've Got This die cut sentiment is the perfect size and sentiment for these happy, encouraging cards!
The Portrait Meadow Backdrop was die cut from smooth white cardstock and the grass was colored with Copic Markers in YG11, YG13, and G09.
The tree log from the Scalloped Treat Box Beach House Add On was die cut from Chocolate Bar Cardstock and colored with Copic Markers in E53, E55, E57, and E49.
Flowers were die cut and adhered to the stems and finished with Nuvo Crystal Drops in the flower centers.
A sentiment from the I Still Do Stamp Set was stamped on Black Licorice Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being die cut with the coordinating I Still Do Die and adhered with foam adhesive.
The frog from the Stitched Pond Frame was die cut from smooth white cardstock and colored with Copic Markers in G00, G02, and G09. The mouth was colored with R37.

Today I'm sharing my video tutorial featuring the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Bold Prints backgrounds. The backgrounds this month are absolutely fabulous and make the most amazing cards! The Koi Pond Bold Prints Background and Parasol Pattern Bold Prints Background were stamped on dark Hero Hues cardstocks with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder before being colored with Polychromos Colored Pencils. I love how these pencils look on dark cardstock!

The cards were finished with stamped greetings. Rectangles were die cut from vellum using a Simon Says Stamp Basic Rectangles Die. The rectangle frame was die cut from gold mirror cardstock using a Simon Says Stamp A2 Thin Frames Die. A greeting from the Tranquility Stamp Set and the Kittens in Kimonos Stamp Set were stamped on the vellum rectangle with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The vellum was run through a Xyron Sticker Maker and adhered to the backgrounds. The frame was glued in place and the cards were finished with a scattering of sequins or droplets for a touch of embellishment!
These backgrounds were created the same but embellished with different dies and additional images!

Hello friends! Shaker cards continue to be one of my favorite kinds of cards to create. Today I'm sharing how to create this Peeking Bunny Easter-themed shaker card sure to make anyone smile!
V I D E O T U T O R I A L
Watch the creation of this peeking bunny shaker card from start to finish below or click HERE to watch in HD:
I've been loving yellow lately so I went with a tone-on-tone yellow card for this Easter shaker design!
The Peeking Bunny was die cut from the inside rectangle.
*PRO TIP* To make this the perfect sized circle for the flocked bunny we will die cut next, turn the die and die cut it again!
The Peeking Bunny was die cut from Thermoweb flocked paper and trimmed to a rectangle to fit behind the gingham panel. A piece of acetate was placed behind the rectangle and the bunny "pieces" were inlaid into the shape.
The outer frame and thin white frame were adhered directly to the white top fold card base. Foam adhesive was placed in the center creating a "well" for the sequins mix. The sequins were added and the bunny panel was placed on top.
Nuvo Crystal Drops in Black Ebony were used for the bunny's eyes and a bow was die cut from a Lawn Fawn Tiny Gift Box set and added to the bunny's ear!
