Watch the creation of these rainbow layered tulips thanks cards from start to finish below or click HERE to watch in HD:
I am such a huge fan of creating multiple cards when I have products out on my work table. Especially when there's a bit of "extra" work involved. In this case, masking off each flower to ink them in different colors instead of all one color. These thanks cards are going to a local Kansas hospital to thank doctors and nurses during this COVID-19 pandemic. If you are feeling a bit helpless during this uncertain and scary time like I am, consider using your creativity and passion for crafting to make cards for friends, family, or strangers. This beautiful, wonderful hobby brings us all together.
I used the Layered Tulips Stencil with the following Simon Says Stamp Dye Ink color combinations for the rainbow tulip borders along the top and bottom of each card background.
- Pink: Cotton Candy & Watermelon
- Orange: Melon & Orange Slush
- Yellow: Lemon Chiffon & Lemon Zing
- Green: Jellybean & Green Apple
- Blue: Scuba & High Dive
- Purple: Lavender & Wisteria
"Thanks" from the Ampersand Words Stamp Set was stamped on Lavender Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The greeting was die cut with the coordinating die and adhered on two additional die cut greetings for a bit of dimension.
An additional phrase was stamped on Lawn Fawn Sugarplum Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being die cut with a Nested Banners Die. The strip was adhered below "thanks" with foam adhesive.
Each background was finished with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Confetti.
