Hello! The June 2020 MFT Release is now available for purchase! Today I'm sharing shark backgrounds two ways using lots of new stamps, dies, and a stencil from the new release. I just love creating all die cut cards or die cut cards accented with stenciling. Let's get started!

Y'all know I always love a good die cut scene, right?! The brand new Baby Shark Die-namics from MFT is jaw-some! (see what I did there?! ha!) I paired this new critter die with the All The Encouragement Stamp Set and coordinating Die-namics, Ocean Motion Die-namics or Ocean Motion Stencil, Sharky Sentiment Stamp Set, and Under The Sea Die-namics (previously released).
My first card features a waves background crated with the new Ocean Motion Die-namics.
A background was trimmed from Hero Hues Arctic Cardstock measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
Waves borders were die cut from Hero Hues Periwinkle Cardstock, Hero Hues Lapis Cardstock, and Lawn Fawn Moonstone Cardstock using the new Ocean Motion Die-namics. Shading was added to the waves with Lawn Fawn Forget-Me-Not Ink, Fish Tank Ink, and Blue Jay Ink. The waves were adhered to the background as shown.
The Under The Sea Die-namics border was die cut from Hero Hues Sand Cardstock and inked with Lawn Fawn Walnut Ink. The border was adhered to the bottom of the ocean scene.
The corral was die cut from Hero Hues Papaya Cardstock and inked with Lawn Fawn Pumpkin Spice Ink. The seaweed was die cut from Hero Hues Kiwi Cardstock and Meadow Cardstock and inked with Lawn Fawn Jalapeno Ink and Noble Fir Ink. Bubbles were die cut from the same colors of cardstock as the the waves and adhered to the design. Crystal Lacquer was used to add a glossy raised finish to the bubbles and eyes.
The Baby Shark Die-namics was die cut from Simon Says Stamp Fog Cardstock, Simon Say Stamp Smoke Cardstock, Hero Hues Cherry Cardstock, Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Cardstock, and smooth white cardstock. Lawn Fawn Hippo Ink was added to the shark for shading before tucking into the waves on the card.
A speech bubble from the All The Encouragement Stamp Set was stamped with Simon Says Stamp Black Ink. The "woohoo" greeting from the stamp set was stamped with Lawn Fawn Lobster Ink. A greeting from the Sharky Sentiment Stamp Set was stamped with Lawn Fawn Forget-Me-Not Ink. The speech bubble was die cut with the coordinating Die-namics and adhered to the top of the card as shown.
My second card features a stenciled waves background crated with the new Ocean Motion Stencil.
A background was trimmed from Hero Hues Periwinkle Cardstock, measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The Ocean Motion Stencil was used with Fish Tank Ink to ink a waves background.

A speech bubble from the All The Encouragement Stamp Set was stamped with Simon Says Stamp Black Ink. The "you did it" greeting from the stamp set was stamped with Lawn Fawn Lobster Ink and Lawn Fawn Forget-Me-Not Ink. The speech bubble was die cut with the coordinating Die-namics and adhered to the top of the card as shown.
A Sharky Sentiment Stamp Set was stamped along the bottom of the card with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
