Hello friends! Today I'm playing with one of my favorite new stamp/die sets, Be A Mermaid, from the Simon Says Stamp Send Happiness Release. I am a big, big fan of a card that can be created with a single stamp/die set! Two stencils from my stash round out this fun mermaid scene card. Let's get started!

The mermaid tails, starfish, and shell from the Be A Mermaid stamp set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The mermaid tails were watercolored with Karin Brushmarker Pro markers and a water brush pen.
The following colors of Karin Brushmarker Pro markers were used for my card:
- 220 Pale Pink
- 375 Cerise
- 092 Fire Red
- 195 Amber
- 357 Pale Orange
- 283 Gold
- 210 Apple
- 377 Ocean Teal
- 204 Cool Aqua
- 654 Turquoise
- 207 Cyan
- 045 Royal Blue
- 358 Red Lilac
- 197 Plum
The mermaid tails, starfish, and shell were die cut with the coordinating Be A Mermaid dies.
The water border from the Be A Mermaid stamp set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock five times with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Distress Oxide Ink Colors in Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Speckled Egg, Broken China, and Mermaid Lagoon were applied over the embossed images for embossed resist. The borders were spritzed with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Spray and dried with a heat tool. The borders were die cut with the coordinating Be A Mermaid dies.
A 4" x 5 1/4" smooth white cardstock panel was used with the Trinity Stamps A2 Foundations Circle Stencil, Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink, and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Ink. The stencil was removed and the positive part of the stencil was used to cover the "sun". With the sun protected the MFT Mini Cloud Edges Stencil and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink were used to finish the sky.
The waved borders were adhered along the bottom edge of the panel as shown. Any excess was trimmed off the sides as shown. The bottom border was left in tact.
Greetings from the Be A Mermaid stamp set were stamped along the top of the card with black ink. The mermaid tails, starfish, and shell were tucked into the waves as shown.
The card was finished with a scattering of Little Things Droplets Pool Hearts.
