Happy Monday and welcome to the July My Monthly Hero Blog Hop!
Today I am sharing these two underwater card designs featuring new My Monthly Hero Add Ons stamps and dies. Between the two cards I'm using five of the new add on products from the July Release! The School of Fish Bold Prints background was used for both backgrounds. I mixed and matched images from the Deeply In Love and Need A Hand stamp sets for both cards. The Submarine Fancy Die and Porthole Fancy Die were die cut from smooth white cardstock and customized with Copic Markers to perfectly match each card.

THE BACKGROUNDS
To create the backgrounds, the School of Fish Bold Prints background was stamped on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of smooth white cardstock with Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Hero Arts Reactive Inks in Pool Party, Splash, and Blue Hawaii were applied with blender brushes. The excess ink was removed from the embossing with a dry microfiber cloth.
The backgrounds were first spritzed with Hero Arts White Iridescent Shimmer spray. Once dry, the backgrounds were spritzed with Frost Shimmer Spray.
PORTHOLE SCENE CARD
A porthole was die cut from a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of smooth white cardstock. The frame was saved to use on the card front. The porthole was die cut two more times to give it dimension. Color was added to the Porthole Fancy Die with Copic Marker in B14, B16, B18, C4, C6, and C8. A sentiment from the Deeply In Love stamp set was stamped with Blue Hawaii Reactive Ink.
The frame was placed over one of the embossed resist backgrounds. The portholes were adhered one on top of another.
Images from the Deeply In Love and Need A Hand stamp sets were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Intens-ified Black Ink.
The following Copic Markers were used to color in the images:
- Octopus: B63, B66, RV55, RV66
- Seaweed: YG21, YG17, G28
- Starfish: YR31, YR23, YR27
- Fish: R32, R35, R37, R39, YR31
The images were die cut using the Deeply In Love Dies and Need A Hand Dies. The images were adhered to the scene and the porthole was adhered in place.
The card was finished with a scattering of Little Things Droplets Pool Hearts.
SUBMARINE SCENE CARD
A sentiment from the Need A Hand stamp set was stamped over the embossed resist background with Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder.
The Submarine Fancy Die was die cut from smooth white cardstock three times. Copic Markers were used to color in one of the submarines.
The following Copic Markers were used to color in the die cut:
- Y08, Y15, Y18, C00, C4, C6
The submarines were adhered one on top of another and adhered to the background as shown.
Seaweed and coral from the Deeply In Love and Need A Hand stamp sets were stamped with Tide Pool, Emerald Green, Pale Tomato, and Crimson inks. The images were die cut with the coordinating dies and adhered to the card as shown.
Glossy Accents was applied to the submarine windows.
The card was finished with a scattering of Little Things Droplets Pool Hearts.
