Today I'm sharing one of my favorite techniques for adding depth and dimension to die cuts: shading colored cardstock with Copic Markers. The new Foliage Frame is gorgeous and can be used for holiday and beyond. I created a holiday design today with Copic shading on the leafy frame, leafy branches, and flowers. A bright white embossed sentiment, gems in the center of the flowers, and glittery Nuvo Crystal Drops on the berries are the perfect finishing details.

The Foliage Frame Creative Cuts Die was die cut from Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf Cardstock and the leaves around the perimeter of the frame were shaded with G05 and G09 Copic Markers.
A sentiment from my new favorite holiday greeting set, Mixed Holiday Greetings, was stamped on the panel with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The leafy branches from the Foliage Frame Creative Cuts Dies were die cut from Lawn Fawn Noble Fir Cardstock and Gold Mirror Cardstock. The green die cuts were shaded with YG95 and YG97 Copic Markers.
The green leaves were adhered to the gold ones for a bit of a "shadow" effect and then adhered to the background leaf frame panel as shown.
The florals and berries were die cut from Hero Arts Cherry Cardstock. Each flower consists of a 5 petal flower and 2 - 3 petal flowers. Each layer was shaded with R46 and R59 Copic Markers. The flowers were assembled and glued in place on the card.
The sprigs were die cut from Gold Mirror Cardstock and finished with a berry on each top before being tucked into the floral design. I didn't add any shading to the berries as they are so super small and we will be adding sparkle to them later.
To finish the card, Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were added to the berries for a "sugared" effect.
Pretty Pink Posh Metallic Jewels were added to the centers of each of the flowers.
The frame was adhered to a white side fold card base.
