It's a brand new year and Hero Arts has totally rocked the January My Monthly Hero Release! I am creating three cards with eight of the brand new products today. Everything from Bold Prints backgrounds, to stamps with coordinating dies, and a new Peek-a-boo die panel. There's a little something for everyone with this release. Let's get started!

HAPPY BEE-DAY CARD
Products featured:
- Hero Arts Abstract Honeycomb Bold Prints
- Hero Arts Honey Pot Fancy Dies
- Hero Arts Bees and Flowers Fancy Dies
- Hero Arts Bee and Flowers Wreath Stamp Set
- More supplies linked in the supply list at the bottom of this post
The Abstract Honeycomb Bold Prints background was stamped on smooth white cardstock with Lawn Fawn No 2 Pencil Ink. The panel was then inked with the same color of ink using a blender brush for a tone-on-tone effect. I love this background!
The honey pot from the Hero Arts Honey Pot Fancy Dies was die cut from Lawn Fawn No 2 Cardstock and shaded with YR23, YR24, and E57. The addition of marker shading gives this honey pot "vase" life! A greeting from the Bee and Flowers Wreath Stamp Set was stamped on the front of the honey pot with Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The flowers and bees were die cut from smooth white cardstock and shaded with the following Copic Markers:
- Flowers: YR30, YR31, YR23, YR24, E57, YG93, YG95, YG99
- Bees: YR23, YR31, W6, W8, BG70, BG72
The flowers were tucked into the vase. Twine was wrapped around the base and the whole thing was adhered to the card front as shown. The bees were adhered with foam adhesive.
The honey dipper from the Honey Pot Fancy Dies was die cut from Lawn Fawn Paper Bag and No 2 Pencil cardstock, pieced together, and shaded with Copic Markers in E55, E57, YR23, and YR24.
The 4" x 5 1/4" panel was adhered to a white top fold card base.

The Peek-a-boo Honeycomb Die was die cut from Lawn Fawn No 2 Pencil cardstock and inked with Black Soot and Rusty Hinge Distress Inks. Gold "splatter" was applied with a small paintbrush.
When dry, greetings from the Bee the Queen Stamp Set was stamped using Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. A Lawn Fawn No 2 Pencil cardstock background was trimmed to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Another greeting from the stamp set was stamped and embossed to be visible when one of the "windows" opens. The honeycomb panel was adhered over the background and any windows not to be opened were glued in place to secure.
The queen bee, bees, and honey dipper were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Lawn Fawn Crunchy Leaf Ink (a light brown ink for Copic coloring) and colored with the following Copic Marker color combinations:
- Queen: W6, W8, YR23, YR31, BG72, BG70, R11
