Hexagons were die cut from Lawn Fawn Sunflower Cardstock, Lawn Fawn No 2 Pencil Cardstock, Hero Arts Mustard Cardstock, Lawn Fawn Paper Bag Cardstock, and Lawn Fawn Vanilla Malt Cardstock using the Hero Arts Nesting Hexagon Infinity Dies.
The hexagons were adhered to a 4" x 5 1/4" panel of smooth white cardstock to create a custom hexagon background.
A greeting and the bumblebee trails from the Floral Love Stamp Set were stamped directly on the background with embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The L, O, V, and E from the Floral Love Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Distress Inks in Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, and Rusty Hinge were used for embossed resist. Excess ink was buffed away and the letters were die cut with the coordinating Hero Arts Floral Love Dies. The letters were adhered to the design with foam adhesive squares.
The bees from the Floral Love Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardsock with Lawn Fawn Jellyfish No Line Coloring Ink. The bees were colored with Copic Markers in W6, W8, YR23, YR31, BG70, and BG72. Details were added to the bees with a black fine tip pen. Ingenious use of the hexagon die for backgrounds. I loved that. Also, another use of a die that you wouldn't think of. Thank you for inspiring us!
