Happy Sunday friends! Today I am back with another idea for my 2021 Handmade Hearts & Things Series. A few months ago I shared THIS tutorial on creating seasonal gnome-themed die cut slimline cards with a promise to share ideas for each month. I know I skipped January (we'll get to her this next week. Promise.) I felt inspired to create this love-themed card for my series so I just went with it! Almost all the patterned paper is from the Simple Stories Sweet Talk 6" x 8" Patterned Paper (from the February 2021 SSS Card Kit or available separately). Keep reading and/or watch the video tutorial for all the details.

A Simple Stories Sweet Talk 6" x 8" Patterned Paper was die cut twice using a Simon Says Stamp Slimline Nested Rectangles Wafer Dies and pieced together to created the background on a slimline card base. The seam where the two halves meet will be covered up with the Mushroom House!
The Simon Says Stamp Mushroom House Wafer Die was die cut from Simple Stories Sweet Talk 6" x 8" Patterned Paper and Honey Bee Stamps Fresh Brewed 6" x 6" Patterned Paper , pieced and adhered to the background as shown. Glossy Accents was applied to the stones around the doorway, door knob, and "spots".
The "love you" from the Simon Says Stamp Heart Animals Stamp & Die Set was die cut from a red patterned paper and brown patterned paper, and adhered one on top of another slightly offset for a subtle shadow. Glossy Accents was applied to the greeting as shown. Additional phrases from the stamp set were stamped above and below the die cut greeting with Simon Says Stamp Rose Apple Ink.
The Simon Says Stamp Lil Gnome Wafer Die, Simon Says Stamp Gnome Wafer Die, and Simon Says Stamp She Gnome Wafer Die were die cut from smooth white cardstock and patterned papers. The gnomes were paper pieces and embellished as shown in the video. The noses were colored with Copic Markers in E11 and E13 and the beards shaded with W1 and W4.
The gnomes were adhered to the scene as shown. Heart accents were scattered throughout the card to finish the design.
Even though the mushroom house and gnome hat stick up above the card, this slimline design fits in the Cotton Candy Slimline Envelope.

Too, too precious! There were so many tips and tricks included in this video, too. This will be re-watched......I am so thrilled about the many ways you have used these little gnomes....so many possibilities. I love to paper-piece, but have forgotten about it in the recent years. You continue to inspire and I appreciate you.

So adorable. I just love your gnome cards. I do have to try the coloring of the beards. Thanks for all your hard work and making us better crafters.
