Welcome to the next collaboration for Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember, Nutty & Nice by Art Impressions!
Throughout STAMPtember we will be celebrating every day posting exclusive collaborations, contests, prizes, special promotions, announcements, and more surprises! Simon’s blog will announce what we have planned every day.
Anytime I don't have to mask (I am not the biggest fan of fussy cutting) I will avoid it! This hilarious Nutty & Nice image from Art Impressions makes such a fun and whimsical holiday card! The Quilted Stencil (part of the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Release) is the perfect subtle background.

Watch the creation this coloring over stenciled backgrounds without masking card from start to finish below or click HERE to watch in HD:
I stenciled the Quilted Stencil over Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Pumice Stone Distress Ink using an ink blender brush. I purposely used a light hand and a light color. Lighter colors are easier to color over and "blend out" with other water-based products like the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
The image from the Nutty & Nice stamp set was stamepd over the stenciled background with Versafine Onyx Black Ink.
The image was colored in with the following Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers:
Lady #1 (green pajamas): 073 beige, 071 flesh colour, 201 pink haze, 043 olive green, 098 pale dawn gray, 999 blender, 067 mustard
Lady #2 (red pajamas): 073 beige, 071 flesh colour, 201 pink haze, 260 deep red, 230 pale rose, 999 blender, 067 mustard
Lady #3 (blue pajamas): 073 beige, 071 flesh colour, 201 pink haze, 090 gray, 091 light gray, 999 blender, 038 peacock blue, 302 haze blue, 062 dark brown, 064 oatmeal
I love that you can't even see the stenciling through the coloring! Detail was added to the pajama tops with a white pen.
A Speech Bubble was die cut from Hero Hues Pebble Cardstock and stamped with sentiments from the Nutty & Nice stamp set from Art Impressions. The greetings were heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The speech bubble was adhered to the top of the panel and the excess trimmed away as shown. Honey Bee Stamps snowflakes were glued around the top of the card. Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were applied to the earrings, stars, bell, and antlers for sparkle and shine.
