Hello friends! I'm a huge fan of tri-fold cards and today I'm super excited to share these tri-fold acetate scene cards showcasing some of my favorite new Hero Arts Color Layering Stamp Sets from the Spring Release. We will be using the brand new Color Layering Pier At the Lake and Color Layering Mountains At the Lake with the Tree Arch Fancy Die and some of my favorite Pinkfresh Studio Inks for a couple of really fun designs!

Both cards feature a top fold acetate card and top fold white card adhered together to create the cards "base". I made my own top fold acetate card base from a sheet of Lawn Fawn Acetate.
The Tree Arch Fancy Die was die cut twice from smooth white cardstock. On one of the dies, Pinkfresh Studio Olive and Gathered Twigs inks were applied with blending brushes. The inked trees image was adhered to the front of the acetate card base. The white die cut was adhered inside acetate card base to disguise the adhesive.
Greetings from the Color Layering Pier At the Lake and Color Layering Mountains At the Lake stamp sets were stamped on the acetate card front with Cotton White Staz On Ink. A red heart embellishment was adhered to above the stamped greeting as shown.
On the white top fold card base a Foundations Rectangle Stencil was used to mask off the edges and the center was inked with Hero Hues Splash and Blue Hawaii Reactive Inks. Lawn Fawn Yeti Pigment Ink was stamped over the dark blue for the ripples in the water.
The images from the Color Layering Pier At the Lake and Color Layering Mountains At the Lake were stamped and/or die cut and inked with the following Pinkfresh Studio Dye Inks:
- Mountains: Misty Coast & Rocky Slope
- Trees: Olive & Evergreen
- Hills: Fresh Pear
- Pier: Warm Buff & Gathered Twigs
- Cattails & Grass: Key Lime (shaded with Copic Markers in G28 & E57)
The silhouetted images were stamped with black dye ink. All images were die cut with the coordinating Color Layering Pier At the Lake and Color Layering Mountains At the Lake dies and adhered to the inked background scene as shown. *The borders were trimmed down to fit the inked rectangle (for my card 3 1/4" wide).
Birds were stamped in the sky with black ink.
A Simon Says Stamp Basic Rectangles Die was die cut from Hero Hues Meadow Cardstock, stamped with an additional greeting from the Color Layering Pier At the Lake using clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The rectangle was adhered inside the tri-fold to hide the adhesive for the acetate.
